UNION MEETINGS AND ACTIVITIES. A. Upon ratification of the Agreement, the Union shall have the authority and the Board shall approve release time for all bargaining unit members to provide a contract briefing while they are in duty status. This will be accomplished at a mutually agreeable date and time. B. Upon mutual agreement between Principal/Site Supervisor and the Union representative, the Union may use Board facilities and equipment for meetings. Such meetings are to be conducted after the students are dismissed from their school day. The Union will indemnify, defend and hold the Board harmless against any and all claims, demands, duties or other forms of liability that may result from the use of such facilities and equipment. The Union shall be responsible for any damage occurring to the facility or equipment. C. The Senior Representative or designee shall be allowed to call a Union meeting, upon mutual agreement of Principal/Site Supervisor and a Union representative at the close of any faculty/staff meeting, provided that such meetings do not infringe upon student instructional time. Attendance at such union meetings shall be voluntary.

UNION MEETINGS AND ACTIVITIES. 1. The Union's Negotiating Committee, not to exceed three persons at any given time, shall be granted release time for attending contract negotiations. IUPA will reimburse the board for all released days at the appropriate hourly rate of the released employee’s rate of pay. 2. The Union reserves the right to request to hold meetings at School Board facilities/work locations upon 24- hour notification (except in the cases of emergency) and approval by the principal/supervisor. UNION MEETINGS AND ACTIVITIES. (a) Article XVIII(c) shall be amended to permit one hour release ti me for two unit meetings per year. Employees assigned to Queens shall be permitted an extra half-hour release time for travel to said meetings. (b) Each member of the Program Committee, to a maximum of eight members, shall be permitted one release day each year for union-sponsored training. (c) One member of the unit each year shall be permitted to take an unpaid leave of absence for up to 12 months for union business, without loss of seniority.   • Union Meetings The Employer recognizes the Union's interest in keeping its members informed and aware of its activities through regular union meetings. The Employer may approve the use of the agency facilities to hold union meetings. Union meetings, including general and/or committee(s) meetings, held on employer premises will not interfere with the operation of the Employer.

  • Negotiation Meetings The first bargaining session shall be held at a mutually agreed time and date within fourteen (14) days of the request. All proposals by the parties shall be written and submitted to the representative(s) of both teams at the first meeting. No additional items shall be submitted by either party following the first meeting, unless mutually agreed by the parties. Additional ground rules, if any, will be established at the first meeting. Bargaining sessions shall not be scheduled during the regular teacher workday. Time and dates as used in this Article may be changed by mutual agreement.

  • Union Rights and Activities 6.01 The Union shall notify the Employer annually, in writing, of the names of its Shop Stewards and committee persons and of any changes as they occur.
