Building Information Model definition

Building Information Model means the result of BIM and shall be a shared knowledge resource use to support the Project throughout the design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning and operational and maintenance phases of the life cycle of the Project.

Building Information Model. (“BIM”) means the computable, digital, multi-dimensional representation of the physical and functional characteristics of the Project’s facilities and their related life-cycle information in Autodesk Revit format and Autodesk Civil 3D, to be used as a repository of design and construction information for use by the Project Team during the design, bidding and construction phases of the Projects, and for TFC’s use throughout the life-cycle of the Project. Members of the Project Team are required to coordinate all efforts with respect to the BIM in accordance with the guidelines set forth in the BIM Execution Plan developed for the Project.

Building Information Model. “BIM”, or “Model” is a parametric, computable representation of the project design developed by the Architect‐Engineer, its consultants, and any Contractor or Subcontractors with BIM responsibilities, and includes construction details developed by the Contractor and its respective consultants and subcontractors that are integrated into the model. As used in this Agreement, references to Building Information Model, BIM, or the Model, include the primary design model or models and all linked, related, affiliated or subsidiary models developed for design, analysis, estimating, detailing, fabrication, construction, operation or maintenance of the project, or any portion or element of the project, whether the model is prepared by the Architect‐Engineer or prepared by Contractor’s subcontractors or consultants. Comprehensive Interior Design (CID): CID includes the Structural Interior Design (SID) and the Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) Design. The Structural Interior Design includes building related design elements and components generally part of the building itself, such as walls, ceilings, floor coverings and built in casework. The interior designer’s knowledge and involvement in the project from the programming stage forward affords maximum success in accomplishing the user’s goals and requirements. The interior designer must be involved with the programming and space planning to help achieve the client’s goals for space utilization, and with determining the desired interior finish materials and their respective aesthetic, durability and maintenance qualities or performance characteristics. In addition, the interior designer must provide a furniture footprint based on the project program. The SID shall be performed by a qualified interior designer. The Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment Design is the development of the items and associated fitting and space relationships for the loose interior building materials, equipment, finishes, special effects, and furnishings that result in an integrated and functional design theme. It includes the selection, layout, specification and documentation of pre‐ and post‐wired work stations, seating, visual display items, office equipment such as copiers and printers, accessories, window treatments, artwork, computers and networking equipment, audiovisual equipment, security cameras and network storage, staff and student desks and file cabinets, storage containers, loose furniture, graphics, wall coverings and hanging...

Building Information Model. ("BIM") or "Model" is a parametric, computable representation of the Project design developed by the Prime Consultant, its subconsultants, and any Design- Build Subcontractors, and will include construction details developed by the Parties and their respective subconsultants and subcontractors. As used in this Agreement, references to Building Information Model, BIM, or the Model, include the primary design model or models and all linked, related, affiliated or subsidiary models developed for design, estimating, detailing, fabrication, or construction of the Project, or any portion or element of the Project. The portions of the BIM prepared by the Prime Consultant, its subconsultants and the Design-Build Subcontractors, and those portions prepared by General Contractor or Design-Assist Subcontractors under the responsible control of a licensed design professional, are Implementation Documents.

Building Information Model means a digital representation of the physical and functional characteristics of the Project.

Building Information Model. (“BIM”). CMR shall coordinate efforts with the PMP, TFC Project Manager, and the A/E to successfully implement the BIM Execution Plan for the Project. CMR will provide personnel, including a BIM Coordinator, and appropriate services to ensure the proper flow of information is provided to enable appropriate input into and output from the BIM, including, but not limited to, importing information into the BIM, providing updated information on changes to the Project plans and specifications during construction, assisting on conflict resolution, coordinating the sharing of information, facilitating file exchange, and other deliverables as assigned to it in the BIM Execution Plan. TFC may assign additional deliverables to CMR as it concerns the functionality of the BIM such that the complete BIM may be provided to TFC upon completion for TFC's use throughout the life-cycle of the Project.

As used in this Contract, references to Building Information Model or BIM include the primary design model or models and all linked, related, affiliated, or subsidiary models developed for design, detailing, fabrication, or construction of the Project. The portions of the BIM prepared by Design Professionals or a Design Build Subcontractors are Construction Documents. The portions of the BIM prepared by the Design Builder or its Subcontractors (other than Design Build Subcontractors) to illustrate means and methods for constructing, fabricating, or installing portions of the Construction Work are Submittals, which are not Contract Documents or Construction Documents.
