Alternative Workweek Schedule Clause Samples

An Alternative Workweek Schedule clause allows employers and employees to agree on a work schedule that deviates from the standard eight-hour workday or 40-hour workweek. This clause typically outlines the specific days and hours employees will work, such as four 10-hour days instead of five 8-hour days, and may require employee approval or a formal vote. Its core function is to provide flexibility in scheduling while ensuring compliance with labor laws, helping both employers and employees better manage work-life balance and operational needs.
