Appointment Process. 13.1.1 All CAS Members are appointed by the University, and in accordance with the provisions of Articles 7: Academic Freedom and 8: Non-Discrimination. 13.1.2 All appointments of CAS Members shall be for a contract to provide instruction in at least one university degree credit course or part thereof, in accordance with the definition of a course as set out in Article 2 of this Agreement and as approved by Senate and as set out in the University Calendar, Members may also accept supplementary letters of appointment for other assigned academic responsibilities as set out in 16.1.5 of this Agreement. 13.1.3 All Appointments of CAS Members are authorized by the ▇▇▇▇ upon the recommendation of the Part-time Appointment Committee.
Appointment Process. (i) A list of employees who have Continuing Sessional Standing shall be produced by the Employer by October 1st of each year. Bargaining Unit Employees who are newly granted Continuing Sessional Standing will be advised of such by the Employer by October first of the academic year in which their Continuing Sessional Standing is granted. (ii) On or before each November 1st, employees with Continuing Sessional Standing shall, for each applicable hiring unit, submit an updated curriculum vitae and provide notice of intent to participate in the Continuing Sessional Standing appointment exercise by filling out the appropriate section of the Blanket Application Form. (iii) By no later than January 22nd, a list of all of the courses identified for Unit 2 posting for the upcoming Summer, Fall and Winter Terms as of this date will be posted electronically in a location accessible to employees and the Union (iv) By no later than January 22nd, hiring units will offer employees who have provided notice of their intent to participate in the Continuing Sessional Standing Program courses from the posted list for which they are the most senior qualified the selected candidate from among employees participating in the Continuing Sessional Standing Program in the hiring unit according to the appointment processes in Articles 12.043.1 and 12.043.2. (v) Offers of appointment will be copied to the other participating candidates in the hiring unit and all offers of appointment will be copied to the Union. (vi) A three-week deadline will be provided for offers to be accepted, counted from January 22nd. (vii) Articles 12.03.1 (Long-Service Override) and 12.03.2 (circumstances in which candidates have equal applicable prior experience) will apply and eEmployees participating in the Continuing Sessional Standing Program exercise may make use of the Article 6 grievance procedure in respect of any courses posted in the exercise that they were not offered but believe they should have been offered pursuant to the terms of the Continuing Sessional Standing Program. (viii) Following the conclusion of the Continuing Sessional Standing Program exercise, assignments which were not accepted will be posted during the common posting periods, together with other assignments not included in the Continuing Sessional Standing Program exercise.

The posting shall include: i. a description of the position to be filled; ii. the qualifications required of a candidate; iii. any special conditions of the position; iv. a statement that the candidate will be expected to have skills in the integration of technology into Teaching and to model those skills in their own Teaching in UOIT’s web-centric and mobile learning environment; v. a statement that the position is covered by this Agreement with a website reference to the Agreement and to the Association; vi. the following equity statement: “UOIT is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from qualified women and men, including members of visible minorities, Indigenous peoples and persons with disabilities.”; and vii. a statement that “All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.” b) The position shall be advertised, normally in University Affairs, the CAUT Bulletin and the University’s website. It may be advertised in other national and international journals and on listservs, websites and/or other venues appropriate to the discipline. c) The ▇▇▇▇ shall appoint an ad hoc search committee to conduct a search. The ▇▇▇▇ shall chair the committee and shall appoint to the committee at least four (4) faculty members, no more than two (2) of whom are Academic Administrators. The committee will be resourced by a non-academic staff member and may have other faculty members appointed to it. Appointment Process. 32.3.1 Nurse Educators are selected by a committee consisting of the ▇▇▇▇, or designate, the Chair, one (1) Tenured Member, and one (1) Nurse Educator. The final decision to appoint rests with the ▇▇▇▇.

In addition to submitting a letter of interest or application, each applicant is required to submit a reference from an individual who has direct knowledge of the applicant’s abilities to be a Consulting Teacher. 4.2.2 Consulting Teachers shall be selected by the PAR Panel after at least one teacher and one District representative on the PAR Panel have conducted a site visitation and a classroom observation.

Appointment Process. (i) For so long as the Company is listed on AIM and/or Euronext, each person proposed for appointment as a Director shall, as a condition to his or her appointment, be required to provide the NOMAD and/or the Euronext Advisor (as applicable) with such information and certifications as the NOMAD and/or the Euronext Advisor may reasonably require to enable them to satisfy themselves as to the suitability of such person to serve as a director of a company listed on AIM and/or Euronext. (ii) Any nomination for appointment or reappointment of a Shareholder Representative by either Highbridge or Athyrium or their respective Affiliates, pursuant to Section 4(a)(v), shall be made by written notice to the Company. The Company shall, subject to prior compliance with Section 4(b)(i), within fifteen (15) Business Days after the date of the notice from Highbridge or Athyrium, ensure that the person so nominated is proposed for appointment or reappointment (as the case may be) as a Director, at a meeting of the Board by way of resolution of the Board or by a written resolution of the Directors and that such appointment is approved at the next meeting of the shareholders of the Company. (iii) For a period of two (2) years from the Effective Date, the chief executive officer of the Company shall have the right to nominate for appointment, subject to the prior unanimous approval of the Current Shareholders, which approval shall not be unreasonably withheld, the chairman of the Board (the “Chairman”). The Chairman shall not be affiliated with the Company. Following the second anniversary of the Effective Date, the Chairman shall be appointed by a majority vote of the Directors.
