Apprentice Committee Clause Samples
The Apprentice Committee clause establishes a designated group responsible for overseeing the administration and management of apprenticeship programs within an organization or industry. Typically, this committee is composed of representatives from both management and labor, and it is tasked with duties such as developing training standards, monitoring apprentice progress, and resolving disputes related to apprenticeship. By formalizing the structure and authority of the committee, this clause ensures consistent governance and effective coordination of apprenticeship activities, thereby promoting fair and efficient training processes.
Apprentice Committee. The Apprentice Committee is composed of the Manager or his representative, and appointed representatives from the following: engineering department, electrical department, mechanical department, personnel department and the Union concerned. This Committee will deal with such things as: checking on course coverage, progress of apprentices and solving of problems that may arise. The Union will be advised how many management representatives will attend each meeting and the Union will be entitled to an equal number of representatives in total. The final selection of an apprentice shall be done by the Apprentice Committee. The Union representatives of this Committee while it is selecting an apprentice may offer any appropriate comments or suggestions.
Apprentice Committee. Apprentice training shall be governed by the Standards of Apprenticeship administered by the Apprenticeship Committee.
Apprentice Committee. An Apprenticeship Committee comprised of equal C.E.P. and Management representatives will be set up with an additional representative from the Human Resources Department who will act as co-ordinator. The purpose of the Committee will be to develop and supervise the procedures required to carry out the intent of the program as agreed to. The Committee will also carry out the following duties:
(a) the improvement of in-plant training programs to support the training syllabuses;
(b) periodic reviews of the training program;
(c) periodic reviews of on-the-job performances, and
(d) determine the tool requirements by years of training;
(e) The final selection of an apprentice shall be done by the Apprenticeship Committee. The Union representative on this Committee while it is selecting an apprentice may offer any appropriate comments or suggestions.

Apprentice Committee. A Apprentice Committee composed of two (2) Union members and two (2) Management members shall be established when apprentices are employed. The National CAW Apprenticeship Standards will be used in the implementation and/or development of an Apprenticeship program. The duties and functions of the Apprentice Committee shall be as follows: To discuss issues involving the effect of the employment of apprentices on the employment of in the trades involved.
Apprentice Committee. MARBA and the Union shall create a Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (JATC), consisting of three (3) management and three (3) Union appointees to draft a trust agreement, hire staff, develop apprenticeship standards and oversee implementation of the apprentice program. The employer hereby adopts and shall be bound by the agreement and declaration of trust established by the JATC for the apprentice program, together with any amendments thereto, which are incorporated by reference herein. The JATC shall have the authority to set and enforce penalties for violations of the apprenticeship rules.
Apprentice Committee. A joint LEAGUE-ATPAM Manager apprentice committee will meet at times to be agreed on by mutual consent to establish and implement rules as outlined in the LEAGUE ATPAM Trust Agreement.
Apprentice Committee. Management recognizes that in order to have a smooth functioning apprentice committee, both parties must fully understand new techniques and procedures that pertain to the shop and related training of the apprentices in this division. Management will invite the Union's representative to accompany Management's representative when attending meetings regarding related training at local educational institutions. The Union representative will be paid for time spent attending such meetings providing the meeting is held during the hours of the representative's scheduled shift.
Apprentice Committee. The number of Apprentice Committee members and their training will be negotiated by the union and company. Apprentice Committee members shall be paid their normal rate including all allowances while attending the committee meetings and undergoing agreed training. Occupational Health and Safety Representatives will be given a minimum of five (5) days per annum, at accredited WorkCover training programs. Occupational Health and Safety Representatives shall be paid their normal rate and all allowances while attending these courses. All expenses involved in the committee members and/or Occupational health and Safety Representative attending such training shall be paid by the company. This shall include course fees, travel, meal and accommodation expenses.
