Athlete Code of Conduct. As an athlete, I understand and agree to abide by the Code of Conduct set out below. I agree: To work towards the attainment of my full potential in my sport. To accept victory and defeat with dignity and grace. To adhere to practices of fair play. To behave and dress in a dignified and proper manner when representing my district both on and off the competition arena. Use my best efforts to assist other members of my Team, the Team Manager(s), Team Coaches and Team Staff Members in achieving the goals and objectives of the Team. To neither supply nor consume any drugs or stimulants, nor participate in other practices prohibited by SAIDS and the WADA Doping policy. To refrain from drinking alcohol. Note that it is illegal in South Africa to purchase or supply alcohol to those under 18 years of age. To conduct myself in such a manner as to not bring myself, my Team, CTA or the sport into disrepute. To be a positive team participant. This obligation extends beyond the field of play - both off and on the field of play. Follow my individual Sport Discipline Team rules, including by way of example: those specified in the Code of Conduct, rules regarding curfew or attendance at Team meetings or functions as may be specified in writing or by the Team Manager, Team Coach, Team Staff Member or their designee.

Athlete Code of Conduct. Athlete conduct and behavior (on/off the field/court) will be that of a young man/woman of God. It is expected that athletes will conduct themselves in a way that reflects ▇▇▇▇▇▇ in all they say and do. They will encourage and use words to build up all of their teammates, coaches, opponents, officials and fans. Athletes will refrain from smoking, the use of tobacco products, drinking, drug-use, cursing, immodest or offensive clothing, fighting, gossiping, or any other questionable behavior. They agree to submit to a random drug test, paid by the athlete’s parent, should the coach and the Heat Board deem it necessary (parents will be notified first). Athletes agree to use social media (including texting or sending photo’s/video’s) in a way that is positive and reflective of ▇▇▇▇▇▇-like behavior. Unexcused or excessive tardiness/absences may result in, but not be limited to sitting the bench at practices and games, being suspended, or removed from the team. Attitudes and behaviors that do not unify the team, promote teamwork/dedication/commitment are subject to the above mentioned consequences. Athlete also agrees to not treat games or practices as dating events. No boyfriends or girlfriends will be allowed to sit together before or after games at the gym or field. Heat teams should sit together as they watch games prior to, or after their own game. This promotes team unity. Boyfriends or girlfriends will not be allowed to attend any practices for any of the Heat sports/programs. This is a time set aside for focused instruction and team building.

Athlete Code of Conduct. As representatives of the United States and OUSA, the Senior Team members are expected to conduct themselves in a dignified and responsible manner at all times, maintaining respect and consideration towards the public, the coaches, other athletes, media personnel, officials and volunteers/staff involved with orienteering. This includes but is not limited to respecting OUSA and IOF competition rules. a. Any action or conduct that would, at the discretion of the designated individual who is directly responsible for the team (usually the team leader), unreasonably disrupt or interfere with a competition or training camp, or is detrimental to the reputation or image of the National Team or OUSA. b. Any illegal activities, including committing an act that is considered an offense under any law, including applicable US law, in the jurisdiction in which the act took place (including underage drinking & impaired driving). c. Breaking curfew regulations as defined by the Team Leader directly responsible for the team. d. The willful abuse of property owned, rented, borrowed or leased by OUSA including vehicles, motel/hotel rooms and team equipment. Infractions of the Athlete Code of Conduct will result in the imposition of disciplinary sanctions that are reasonable and proportionate to the conduct complained of (see paragraph 5). Sanctions can include, but are not limited to the following: loss of eligibility to participate in OUSA sanctioned activities on an interim or permanent basis; loss of any further financial support for training and competition from OUSA; the requirement to pay compensation for any damaged property, loss of “membership in good standing”, loss of membership on the Team. Enforcement of the Code of Conduct will be the responsibility of the OUSA designated individual who is directly responsible for a specific team. Prior to the imposition of any disciplinary sanction, the designated individual will meet with, hear and consider the Athlete’s version of events. In a case where there is a conflict between an Athlete and the OUSA designated individual regarding the interpretation of this policy and/or the disciplinary sanction imposed, the Athlete has recourse as outlined in paragraph 5.

Athlete Code of Conduct. As representatives of Canada and Orienteering Canada, the Athletes are expected to conduct themselves in a dignified and responsible manner at all times, maintaining respect and consideration towards the public, the coaches, other athletes, media personnel, officials and volunteers/staff involved with orienteering. This includes but is not limited to respecting Orienteering Canada and IOF competition rules. Members of the HPP are expected to promote pride and goodwill for the orienteering through their behaviour and attitude. HPP Athletes are ambassadors for the sport at all times. The athlete agrees to abide by Orienteering Canada’s Discipline Policy (at ▇▇▇.▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇/▇▇▇▇▇/▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇). The athlete has read and understood the Discipline policy which includes the code of conduct.

Athlete Code of Conduct. As a member athlete of USA Wrestling, I will:  Wrestle for the enjoyment of the sport.  Know and practice the core values of USA Wrestling: Responsibility, Integrity, Dedication, Honesty, Accountability, and Respect.  Always strive to challenge myself. Work hard to improve my conditioning and skills.  Be a good sport, win or lose. Champions are determined as much by how they handle defeat as they are by how many wins they achieve.  Support my teammates and look out for everyone’s best interest.  Be on time, and be ready for practice…give 100% effort.  Learn the rules and wrestle by them. Always be a good sport.  Respect my coach, teammates, parents, opponents and officials.  Never argue with an official’s decision.  Learn the fundamentals of Safe Sport. Do not engage in misconduct. Report anything that does not seem right to you to a trusted adult.  Learn, and put into practice, teamwork, sportsmanship and discipline. All athlete members 18 years of age and above are subject to USA Wrestling’s General Member Code of Conduct. Do not force your children to participate in sports, but support their desires to participate in their chosen sports. Children are involved in organized sports for their enjoyment. Make it fun.  Encourage your child to wrestle by the rules. Remember, children learn best by example, so applaud the good moves of both wrestlers.  Emphasize the core values of USA Wrestling with your child: Responsibility‐Integrity‐Dedication‐Honesty‐ Accountability‐Respect.  Do not embarrass your child by yelling at opposing wrestlers, coaches or officials. By showing a positive attitude toward the sport and all of its participants, your child will benefit.  Emphasize skill development and practices, and how they benefit your young athlete. De‐emphasize matches and competition in the lower age groups.  Know and study the rules of wrestling and support the officials on and off the mat. This approach will help in the development and support of the wrestling. Any public criticism of the officials during competition only hurts the sport.  Applaud a good effort in both victory and defeat, and enforce the positive points of the match. Never yell or physically abuse your child after a match or practice – it is destructive. This includes but is not limited to respecting the COF and IOF competition rules. The following behavior is unacceptable: a.
