Beginning on the Commencement Date Clause Samples

The 'Beginning on the Commencement Date' clause establishes the specific point in time when the rights, obligations, or terms outlined in the agreement become effective. Typically, this clause clarifies that all contractual duties, such as payment schedules, service delivery, or lease periods, start from the agreed-upon commencement date, which may be a fixed calendar date or triggered by a particular event. Its core practical function is to ensure both parties have a clear and mutual understanding of when their responsibilities under the contract begin, thereby preventing disputes over timing and performance expectations.
