Common use of Compensation for Overtime Clause in Contracts

Compensation for Overtime. 8.4.1 Employees working authorized overtime shall be paid at the rate of one and one- half (1½) times the employee's straight-time rate. For the purpose of computing the number of overtime hours worked, time during which an employee is excused from work because of holidays, sick leave, vacation or other paid leave of absence shall be considered as time worked by the employee.
