Duties and Hours of Work. 2.1. The Employee will be required to work each week, plus reasonable additional hours, on the days and between the times indicated by the Employer. 2.2. The Employee is to carry out his or her duties competently as described in Annexure “A”, as well as any other duties as directed, and agrees to follow all lawful directions from the Employer. 2.3. The Employee agrees to comply with the Employer’s current and future .
Duties and Hours of Work. You are employed in a full-time post and its nature is such that you are expected to work such hours as are reasonably necessary in order to fulfil your duties and responsibilities. The number of hours which can be regarded as a norm is 37 hours per week. This is not to be regarded as either a minimum or maximum. Your duties include product development, administration and related activities. You are expected to work flexibly and efficiently, and to maintain the highest professional standards in discharging your responsibilities, and in promoting and implementing the corporate policies of the Business Solution Ltd. The make-up of your duties will be determined from time to time by your Head of Department in consultation with yourself and will be reviewed regularly through the staff appraisal system. Guidelines for the determination of the duties of the staff are set out in the Staff Handbook; in particular, when deciding upon your specific duties, your Head of Department shall have regard to the matters set out in the Staff Handbook. Your work year will not normally exceed 48 weeks, of which 2 weeks will be spent on training and development. While some flexibility may be required in organising the work year, you will not (except with prior agreement) be required to undertake more than 14 consecutive weeks of work at any one time, and any significant variations to the normal pattern of the working year in the Business Solution will only be made after consultation with the staff and the recognised trade unions.

To achieve maximum flexibility, Engineer Officers shall work as a team with each Engineer Officer working to the level of their classification, job description, training, competence, certification and applicable legislation in a co-operative effort, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Vessel. 9.1.2. The nominal daily working duration shall be eight hours, seven days per week however Engineer Officers may be required to work up to 12 hours in any one day. In scheduling of 12 hours work this can effectively be planned over an 18-hour period within 24 hours, consistent with clause 9B. 9.1.3. In the case of a major machinery failure (i.e. one which disables the Vessel), or in the case of an emergency (i.e. a situation that could threaten safety of life or safety of a Vessel/ rig or facility), Engineer Officers may be called upon to work in excess of 12 hours. 9.1.4. Where the engine department is manned for 24 hour operations, the essential demands of an offshore facility may warrant immediate support to avoid major disruption to the operations (this does not include any work that could have been reasonably planned or foreseen) and the need to work hours in addition to 12 hours. Any such demands will remain subject to the overriding rest requirements as defined in clause 9B. 9.1.5. Each Watch-Keeping Engineer Officer will maintain a full and accurate record of hours of work and rest periods.

  • DAYS AND HOURS OF WORK The standard workweek for workers occupying full-time positions consists of 40 hours unless otherwise specified by the Board of Supervisors. The appointing authority shall fix the hours of work with due regard for the convenience of the public and the laws of the State and the County. Workers occupying part-time positions shall work such hours and schedules as the Board and the appointing authority shall prescribe.

  • HOURS OF WORK i) Where employees are now working a longer daily tour, the provisions set out in this Article governing the regular hours of work on a daily tour shall be adjusted accordingly. ii) The normal daily extended tour shall be 11.25 consecutive hours in any 24-hour period, exclusive of a total of forty-five (45) minutes of unpaid meal time. For hybrid schedules, there will be scheduled normal daily tours of seven and one-half (7½) hours and 11.25 consecutive hours per day. iii) Employees working an extended tour shall be entitled, subject to the exigencies of resident care, to paid relief periods during the tour of a total of forty-five (45) minutes. For hybrid schedules, there will also be shifts that provide for relief periods in accordance with Article 15.02. iv) Scheduling issues will be resolved at the local level. v) Where the union and the employer have agreed to or agree to an extended daily tour or hybrid schedule that differs from the normal daily extended tour, the proportion of unpaid time to hours of work shall maintain the same ratio as set out in paragraph ii) and iii) of this Article.

  • Ordinary Hours of Work The ordinary hours of work will be worked any time between 6.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Ordinary hours of work may be varied by agreement between the Employer and the majority of the employees concerned and the ETU State Secretary (via the relevant full time ETU Official) to accommodate the hours or work required for the most efficient and safe operation of the Employer and the requirements of its client. Where agreement is reached to work alternate hours, occupational health and safety principles will prevail. Proper health monitoring procedures will be introduced and suitable rosters clearly agreed prior to commencing work. Adequate supervision must always be provided. Matters on which agreement may be reached include: a) How the hours are to be averaged in a work cycle b) The duration of the work cycle

  • ARTICLE HOURS OF WORK The following provision designating regular hours on a daily tour and regular daily tours over the nursing schedule determined by the Hospital shall not be construed to be a guarantee of the hours of work to be performed on each tour or during each tour schedule.
