Earthing Clause Samples
Earthing. 33.1 The Service Provider must comply with the earthing requirements set out in the LFC's earthing standards and requirements as published by the LFC on ▇▇▇.▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇.▇▇ or otherwise advised by the LFC to the Service provider from time to time.
33.2 The LFC will install a 95 or 120 mm2 green earth cable to an earth bar at the end of each row for the connection of Service Provider Equipment.
33.3 The Service Provider's racks and cabinets must be isolated from the building. Isolation must be tested and verified to be 5 Mohm at 100 Volts before connecting to the earth grid.
33.4 Every cabinet or rack must be joined to the earth grid cable by a 6 mm2 green cable.
33.5 Joints of 2 or 4 cabinet or rack cables must be made every 1,200 mm using a crimp tee or line tap connector.
33.6 All earthing schemes at a Central Office must be approved by the LFC.
33.7 All connections to existing earthing systems (including connections from cabinets, racks and signal cabling) must be to the earth bar. The LFC will approve cable sizes and quantities.
33.8 Cable screens must be earthed at the LFC end only, not at the Service Provider's end.
Earthing. Include system to be used (electrodes, counterweights or other), as well as sizes and section of the elements to be used.
Earthing. A main earth bar of G.I shall be provided throughout the full length of the Switch Board with a provision to make connections to earth stations on both sides.
Earthing. All racks are earthed. The Service Provider is responsible for the provision, installation and maintenance of earthing of all their equipment within the NBI provided Co-Location rack space. NBI will be responsible for earthing the rack.
Earthing. To provide earthing within the Premises as required by any codes and regulations from time to time in force.
Earthing. Bonded to earth terminal in normal operation

(vi) Test the fire detection system if provided.
(vii) Check operation of protection relays by putting short circuit bat at different location.
(viii) Check open circuit and short circuit characteristics ofgenerators.
(ix) Check load characteristics of exciters.
Earthing. This specification covers supply, delivery, installation and testing of the complete grounding system as described below. Station earth points shall be constructed to provide grounding points for all earth continuity conductors used in this installation. Station earths shall be as specified in the appropriate Indian Standards or equivalent. All lap, cross and tee connections between two grounding conductors shall be made by thermo-welding process or compression type connector. The various joints shall have adequate mechanical strength as well as necessary electrical conductivity not less than that of the parent conductors of the joints. All accessories for grounding installation shall be of quality and design approved by the Engineer. Ground conductors, when crossing underground trenches, directly laid underground pipe and equipment foundation, if any, shall be at least 300 mm below the bottom elevation of such trenches/pipes. Complete installation of the ground, test link chamber, grounding of all but not limited to the equipment located in the building and substation as specified herein. The supply of grounding conductors, jointing materials and all accessories to complete this grounding installation so as to obtain the specified value of earth resistance shall be covered under this specification. The installation shall be complete in all respects for efficient and trouble free service. All work shall be carried out in a first class neat ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ like manner. Grounding conductors shall be handled carefully to avoid kinking and cutting of the conductors during laying and installation. All exposed ground conductors runs shall be taken in a neat manner, horizontal, vertical and parallel to building walls or columns and shall not be laid haphazardly. For all connections made to equipment or to the structures, the grounding conductor, connectors and equipment enclosures shall have good clean contact surfaces. Grounding conductor connection to all electrical equipment, switchgear, motors, panels, conduit system, equipment enclosures, cable trays, distribution boards, equipment frames, bases, steel structure, etc. shall be by pressure type or bolting type connectors. The earth resistance shall not exceed 5 ohms. On completion of the installation, either wholly or in sections, it shall be tested in compliance with relevant Code by the Contractor in presence of the Engineer. If the earth resistance cannot be obtained as per specified value, then additional earth e...
Earthing. There shall be two independent earthing stations at least 3 meters away from the pump room. The earthing shall consist of an earth tape connected to an independent plate made of C.I. having a conductivity of not less than 100% international standard. All electrical apparatus, cable boxes and sheath/ armour clamps shall be connected to the main bar by means of branch earth connections of appropriate size. All joints in the main bar and branch bar shall have the lapping surface properly tinned to prevent oxidation. The joints shall be revetted and sweathed. Earth plates shall be buried in a pit 1.2 x 1.2 meter a minimum depth of 3 meter below the ground. The connections between the main bars shall be made by means of three 10 mm brass studs and fixed at 100 mm centres. The pit shall filled with coke breeze, rock salt and loose soil. A.G.I.Pipe of 20mm i/d. with perforationon the periphery shall be placed vertically over the plate to reach ground level for watering. A brick masonry manhole 30 x 30 x 30 cm. size shall be provided to surround the pipe for inspection. A bolted removable link connecting main bar outside the pit portion leading to the plate shall be accommodated in this manhole for testing.
