Employees Returning to the Bargaining Unit Clause Samples

The "Employees Returning to the Bargaining Unit" clause outlines the terms and conditions under which employees who have temporarily left the bargaining unit—such as for management positions or special assignments—can return to their previous union-represented roles. Typically, this clause specifies eligibility criteria, the process for reinstatement, and the preservation of seniority or benefits accrued prior to leaving the unit. Its core function is to ensure a fair and transparent process for employees rejoining the bargaining unit, protecting both employee rights and the integrity of the bargaining unit structure.
