EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS. 27.01 Employees will not be required to perform their regular duties during extreme weather conditions unless an emergency exists.

EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS. 45.01 It is recognized that despite their best efforts, some employees may be unable to report to work on time because of blocked highways. In such cases, the employee shall, if possible, notify his/her supervisor of his/her difficulty and providing he/she arrives within two (2) hours of his/her scheduled start time, he/she shall suffer no reduction from his/her regular pay. Should he/she arrive at work after this two hour period, he/she shall be paid for time actually worked. 45.02 Employees who decide to leave their place of work because of weather conditions will be paid in accordance with Article 13.05. However, employees required by the Company to remain at their place of work during a storm, and who are unable to get home, will be reimbursed for overnight accommodation. 45.03 It is recognized that it is not always possible for employees to report for work due to extreme weather conditions. EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS. Once construction begins on the Project the County Designee shall be entitled, at any time, to notify the Developer(s) that use of a/the Designated Haul Road/s may result in excessive damage to a/the Designated Haul Road/s due to weather conditions that may pose a serious safety risk to the traveling public. The Developer(s) shall work with such County Designee to develop a plan to mitigate or prevent the safety liabilities of such weather conditions. If the Parties are able to develop a plan to mitigate or prevent such safety liabilities, then the Developer(s) may continue to use such roads provided such mitigation is implemented. If the Parties are unable to develop such a plan, the Developer(s) may propose an alternate route to the Project site for approval by the County (such approval not to be unreasonably withheld).
EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS. If school is officially closed because of an emergency situation, employees who are regularly scheduled to work, will not be required to report to work, and will be paid for that day. If the District establishes a make-up day for such an emergency situation, the employees shall work the make-up day. Employees who began working for the District prior to July 1, 2008 will be compensated for the make-up day by completing a timesheet. Employees who began working in the District on or after July 1, 2008 will receive no additional compensation for the make-up day. If school is in session during bad weather (heavy snow in particular), it is the employee's responsibility to get to work. However, if it is actually impossible to do so, the employee may use her/his days of personal business, vacation or floating holiday to be paid during this absence.
EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS. When extreme weather conditions exist, the Employer will make adequate arrangements to limit and/or protect affected employees from prolonged exposure.
EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS. An employee will be granted up to two (2) days per calendar year paid leave of absence in the event that extreme weather conditions make it difficult to arrive at work for her scheduled shift. This leave may not be used for any other purpose and does not accumulate. Absence beyond two (2) days in one (1) fiscal year may be granted without pay or be deducted from accumulated sick leave, holiday or lieu time
EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS. The Department and the Union agree to mutually establish guidelines and rules covering outside training including specifically tower drills and hose testing and other outside non-emergency duties during extreme weather conditions. Extreme weather conditions will be defined to be temperatures of 90° F or higher or below 30° F, or 15° F wind chill, including moderate to heavy rain, thunderstorms, sleet or snow. Provided, however, if the temperature is below freezing, there shall be no throwing of water. Equivalent heat index will also be considered. Where testing or evaluations are necessary during extreme weather conditions, every reasonable precaution will be taken to limit the duration of such testing or evaluation.
