Increased Qualifications Clause Samples
The Increased Qualifications clause sets higher standards or additional requirements for individuals or entities involved in a contract. This may involve mandating specific certifications, experience levels, or compliance with updated industry standards before a party can perform certain tasks or roles. By raising the bar for qualifications, the clause ensures that only suitably skilled or knowledgeable parties are engaged, thereby reducing the risk of substandard performance and enhancing the overall quality and reliability of the contracted work.
Increased Qualifications. The Teacher, in their new classification will move to the pay step that is closest to their current annual salary without going down in annual salary.
Increased Qualifications.
1. Any Teacher who improved their academic or professional qualifications and thereby reaches a higher salary classification shall be paid according to such improved qualifications as provided for in this Agreement.
2. The onus is on the Teacher to give notice to the School Division as soon as possible after such credit has been obtained. In giving notice, the Teacher must offer documentary evidence that the increased qualifications have been registered with, and accepted by the Department. When such evidence has been submitted to the School Division, the salary change shall become effective the first (1st) day of the month following the date in which evidence is filed with the School Division.
Increased Qualifications. Increases in salary resulting from improved qualifications shall be automatic upon submission of proof of increased qualifications from the Teacher Qualification Service. Such increases shall be paid retroactively:
a. to September 1st of the school year when the verification from the Teacher Qualification Service is submitted to the Board by October 31st of that school year, and
b. to January 1st of the school year when the verification from the Teacher Qualification Service is submitted to the Board between November 1st and the last day of February of that school year. Teachers anticipating a delay in receiving T.Q.S. confirmation by the deadline shall contact the Personnel Office of the Board in writing. Deadlines for receipt of verification may be extended in any specific instance by mutual agreement of the parties.
Increased Qualifications. (a) Each teacher in Classes I, II, III, IV, V, VI who increase educational qualifications which result in placement in a higher classification shall be placed at the same step of the schedule where placed in the previous classification provided that:
(i) prior to commencing a program leading to increased qualifications the teacher gives written notice to the Division of intention to do so, and
(ii) the Division does not, within sixty (60) days of receipt of such notice, advise the teacher, in writing, that in its considered opinion such improved qualifications would not be of benefit to the educational needs of the Division. If the teacher does not so notify the Division, or if, after the teacher has notified the Division, the Division advised the teacher as aforesaid, that teacher shall, when placed in a higher classification resulting from increased qualifications, be placed on the step of the schedule resulting in a rate of pay nearest to but not less than the rate of pay received prior to the improved qualifications.
(b) When the Secretary-Treasurer is in receipt of a “Verification of Classification” from Manitoba Education, on behalf of a teacher who has improved qualifications, the effective date of the increased salary shall be the date verified by Manitoba Education as set out in the Verification of Classification. Where the date ver ified to Manitoba Education as set out in the Verification falls during July or August, such increase shall become effective on the September 1, immediately following.
(c) The onus to file evidence to Manitoba Education is exclusively the obligation of the teacher including relations with third parties. The Division bears no responsibility nor liability for any failure on the part of third parties to provide experience information or do any other thing with respect to the process of a teacher’s increased qualifications.
Increased Qualifications. Increments SALARY, ALLOWANCES AND DEDUCTIONS
Increased Qualifications. Where increased qualifications are secured which qualify a teacher for an advance in class on the salary schedule, the onus is on the teacher to forward the necessary documentation to the Superintendent’s Department. For the purpose of Section A, “documentation” shall be either a statement from the Teacher Certification and Records Branch of Manitoba Education confirming a higher classification or evidence from an educational institution confirming that course work has been successfullycompleted. The resulting increase in salary shall be retroactive to the first of the month following receipt of documentation signifying that there has been an increase in qualifications. However, the resulting increase shall be paid only after Teacher Certification and Records Branch of Manitoba Education has confirmed the higher classification. Placement failure to reply to perceived errors. Members hired after September will receive the above notice within teaching days after commencement of teaching duties and will have teaching days after receipt of notice to respond.

When such evidence has been submitted, the salary change shall become effective the teaching month following the notification of successful completion of increased qualifications.
Increased Qualifications. Where increased qualifications are secured which qualify a teacher for an advance in class on the salary schedule, the onus is on the teacher to forward the necessary documentation to the Superintendent’s Department. For the purpose of Section ‘‘documentation’’shall be either a statement from the Teacher Certification and Records Branch of Manitoba Education confirming a higher classification or evidence from an educational institution confirming that course work has been successfully completed. The resulting increase in salary shall be retroactive to the first of the month following receipt of documentation signifying that there has been an increase in qualifications. However, the resulting increase shall be paid only after Teacher Certification and Records Branch of Manitoba Education has confirmed the higher classification with the exception of an increase in qualifications in Article A. On or about the last teaching day of September of each year, each teacher shall be provided with a Statement outlining the placement of the teacher, as per Article of this Agreement, effective at the of that school year. The teacher shall have twenty (20) teaching days from the date of receipt of the Statement to inform the Division in writing of any errors in the Statement of Placement. Failure to inform the Division within the twenty (20) teaching days shall be to be acceptance of the placement for that school year. Included on the statement of placement shall be a notification of the consequences of a failure to reply to perceived errors.
