Limited Duration Positions. A limited duration appointment may be used when uncertain or limited funding, i.e., grant- funded, contract, award or legislative funding for a specific project, become available to LCOG, or to provide coverage for an employee or employees on extended leave(s) of absence or temporary reduction(s) in FTE. A limited duration appointment shall not exceed two (2) years in length.
Limited Duration Positions. 1. The College may create limited duration positions of no more than twelve (12) months’ duration for the purpose of staffing special assignments or projects. Any such position will be for a time certain, with a starting and anticipated ending date not to exceed twelve (12) months. Employees in a limited term position will be covered by the provisions of the Agreement with the exception of Article 14. 2. If an existing employee is in a limited duration position, the rights the employee has gained in their former position will be maintained. At the end of the assignment the employee will return to their former position, if the position continues to exist. While he/she occupies the limited duration position, their former position may be filled by a limited duration employee as defined above. 3. The College shall post notice that a limited duration position is open when the position becomes open and available. 4. In the event a limited duration position becomes regularly funded, it will be posted for recruitment as per Article 4.
Limited Duration Positions. Limited-duration positions are those funded by specific limited-duration grant streams, or restricted state or federal funds, such as grant- or Title-funded positions. Limited- duration positions are temporary for the duration of the known term of the funding; employees hired into limited-duration positions shall not have an assurance of employment beyond the term of funding, and shall not be entitled to the protections and rights concerning layoff and recall under Article 5 §§ C and D.
Limited Duration Positions. The Employer will notify the worker if they believe there is an open position the worker is eligible for under this section.
Limited Duration Positions. An employee who fills a limited duration position does not have the right to bump (replace an employee with less seniority) another employee in the bargaining unit. A limited duration position is a position created with a limited duration not to exceed two (2) years. If the County wants to extend the duration of the period beyond the two (2) year duration, the position will no longer be considered a limited duration position, and the employee shall have bumping rights. If a position is no longer considered a limited duration position, the employee’s seniority date shall begin on the date the position exceeds the initial limited duration. An employee who fills consecutive limited duration positions shall have bumping rights when the employee commences work in the second limited duration position. If the employee fills consecutive limited duration positions, the employee’s seniority date shall begin on the date the employee commences work in the second limited duration position. If there is a break in service, an employee may serve more than one limited duration position.

  • Frequency and Duration There shall be an open enrollment period for health coverage in each year of this Agreement, and for dental coverage in the first year of this Agreement. Each year of the Agreement, all employees shall have the option to complete a Health Assessment. Open enrollment periods shall last a minimum of fourteen (14) calendar days in each year of the Agreement. Open enrollment changes become effective on January 1 of each year of this Agreement. Subject to a timely contract settlement, the Employer shall make open enrollment materials available to employees at least fourteen (14) days prior to the start of the open enrollment period.

  • Agreement Duration The term of the Agreement shall begin and end on the dates indicated in the Standard Grant Agreement, unless extended or terminated earlier in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions. The Grantee shall be eligible for reimbursement for work performed on or after the date of execution through the expiration date of this Agreement, unless otherwise specified in Attachment 2, Special Terms and Conditions. However, work performed prior to the execution of this Agreement may be reimbursable or used for match purposes if permitted by the Special Terms and Conditions.

  • Pact Duration The provisions of this Pact shall come into effect from the date of signing of this Pact by the both parties. It expires for the Contractor 12 months after the last payment under the respective contract, and for all other Bidders 6 months after the contract has been awarded. If any claim is made / lodged by either party during this time, the same shall be binding and continue to be valid despite the lapse of this pact as specified above, unless it is discharged/determined by the Chairperson of the Principal.

  • Open Positions In order to ensure that all interested employees are advised of employment opportunities, notice of job vacancies for regular full or part time positions will be sent to the Union, and job announcements will be posted on designated bulletin boards in the office. In addition, information about all job vacancies will be available to employees by calling the office and in pay envelopes. All regular full or part time vacancies will be posted and filled in accordance with this Agreement. Postings will include position requirements, minimum qualifications, substitute and preferred qualifications (if any) and base rate of pay.

  • Effective Date and Duration When all Parties have executed this Grant, and all necessary approvals have been obtained (“Executed Date”), this Grant is effective and has a Grant funding start date as of July 1, 2020 (“Effective Date”), and, unless extended or terminated earlier in accordance with its terms, will expire on June 30, 2021.
