The "Maintaining Traffic" clause requires the contractor to ensure that normal traffic flow is preserved and safely managed during the course of construction or maintenance work. Maintaining Traffic. If traffic is to be detoured over a centerline, detour plans must be submitted and approved by the City prior to starting work. Police, Fire, and the Public Works Department shall be notified at least 24 hours in advance of any work which will interfere with the normal flow of vehicular or pedestrian traffic. If lane closures or traffic modifications are needed, Contractor shall, as applicable, apply for and obtain an encroachment permit from the City. It shall be the Contractor's responsibility to post, and remove after work is complete, no parking signs as required to perform work. Temporary "No Parking" signs and barricades can be provided by the City for pickup at the City Corporation Yard. Arrangements for signs and barricades can be made by verbal or written request to the City Representative five working days in advance of the need for signs and barricades. Minor deviations from the requirements of this section concerning hours of work which do not significantly change the cost of the work may be permitted upon the written request of the Contractor if in the opinion of the City Representative public traffic will be better served and the work expedited. Such deviation shall not be adopted until the City Representative has indicated his written approval. Full compensation for conforming to the requirements of this Section shall be considered as included in the contract prices paid for the various items of work and no separate payment may be made thereof.
Maintaining Traffic. The Contractor shall be responsible for all traffic control in accordance with City requirements, including flagging costs during construction, and must maintain vehicular access to driveways and other areas in accordance with section 7-10 of the Standard Specifications for Public Works (aka the “Greenbook”). Within five calendar days after receiving the Notice to Proceed, Contractor shall submit to Authority a traffic control and maintenance plan, and shall provide an emergency contact for such issues who may be contacted at all times. Pedestrian traffic shall be detoured to the opposite side of the street away from the Work area whenever possible. Provisions shall be made for safe passage through construction areas in such traffic control and maintenance plan.
Maintaining Traffic. During scheduled maintenance and repair operations, the Contractor shall be responsible to maintain traffic through the site. The Contractor shall erect flags, signs, traffic cones, flashing lights, and/or barricades as may be necessary to properly protect workers and the motoring public when repairs are being performed. Any Construction signing and detours shall conform to the Caltrans Traffic Manual. The Contractor shall submit signing and/or detour plans to the Engineer for approval prior to scheduling the work.
Maintaining Traffic. Unless otherwise directed or permitted by the Superintendent, the Contractor shall arrange and prosecute the work specified for this contract in accordance with all applicable provisions of 104.04, 107, 801 and 923 of the 2012 Standard Specifications, the latest revised Standard of Detour Signs and Sign Design Details of the Indiana Department of Transportation Standards, the Indiana Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, and as set out herein. Cost for Maintenance of Traffic shall be included in the price of bid items.

  • Compliance with Safeguarding Customer Information Requirements The Servicer has implemented and will maintain security measures designed to meet the objectives of the Interagency Guidelines Establishing Standards for Safeguarding Customer Information published in final form on February 1, 2001, 66 Fed. Reg. 8616, and the rules promulgated thereunder, as amended from time to time (the “Guidelines”). The Servicer shall promptly provide the Seller information regarding the implementation of such security measures upon the reasonable request of the Seller.

  • Occupational First Aid Requirements and Courses (a) The Union and the Employer agree that First Aid Regulations, made pursuant to the Workers' Compensation Act shall be fully complied with. (b) Where the Employer requires an employee to perform first aid duties in addition to the normal requirements of the job, the cost of obtaining and renewing the Occupational First Aid Certificate shall be borne by the Employer and leave to take the necessary courses shall be granted with pay. (c) Employees required to possess an Occupational First Aid Certificate and who are designated to act as the First Aid Attendants in addition to their normal job responsibilities shall receive the following allowance on the basis of the Level of certificate which they hold. Level 3 Occupational First Aid Certificate - $51.00 per biweekly period or $110.50 per month Level 2 Occupational First Aid Certificate - $39.00 per biweekly period or $84.50 per month The allowance shall be prorated for partial months. For the purpose of calculating the hourly rate, the biweekly allowance shall be divided by seventy (70); however, no employee shall receive more than the monthly allowance for the Level of certificate they hold. Employees designated to act as the Occupational First Aid Attendant in addition to their normal job duties will receive their full monthly allowance while on approved leave with pay up to ten (10) days or while on vacation leave with pay. Where the Employer has an additional requirement for a First Aid Attendant on a temporary basis, then provided the employee acts as the First Aid Attendant for a minimum of ten (10) workdays in any month, he/she shall receive the full monthly allowance. (1) In order to meet the requirements of (a) above, the Employer will designate in order of seniority from among those regular employees holding an appropriate Occupational First Aid Certificate to act as the First Aid Attendant in addition to the normal requirements of the job. (2) Where no employee within the work unit possesses an Occupational First Aid Certificate, the opportunity to obtain a Certificate will be offered to regular employees within the work unit in order of service seniority, provided the employee can meet the requirements of the WCB regulations to undertake the training in order to obtain an Occupational First Aid Certificate. (3) In the event that the procedures outlined above do not meet the requirements of (a), the Union will assist the Employer to meet their obligations by approaching regular employees in the work unit on behalf of the Employer. (4) Where the requirements of (a) above cannot be met, within a reasonable period of time through utilization of (d)(1),(2) and (3), the Employer may: (i) recall a qualified casual employee in order of seniority from those holding the appropriate Occupational First Aid Certificate, and/or (ii) include an Occupational First Aid Certificate as a desirable qualification on a posting pursuant to Clause 12.2(b). (5) Failing (4) above, the Employer may require the most senior regular employee within the work unit who can meet the requirements of the WCB regulations to undertake Occupational First Aid training in order to obtain a Certificate.
