MEAL BREAK AND REST PERIOD. 25.1 Meal breaks will be for a period of not less than 30 minutes and not more than 1 hour, subject to agreement between the Employer and Employee. 25.2 An Employee will not be required to continuously work more than 5 hours without a meal break. 25.3 The meal break will be taken at an agreed time within the 5 hours at a time convenient to the business and the service of customers. 25.4 The Employer will use its best endeavours to ensure meal breaks are not granted within the hour immediately: after commencing work; or before ceasing work. 25.5 An Employee will be granted permission to leave the workplace for the duration of the meal break. 25.6 The Employer shall not be required to provide meal breaks at a regular set period each day of the week and shall be able to change meal breaks without prior notice. 25.7 Meal breaks are unpaid breaks and not included in the ordinary hours of work. 25.8 An Employee will be entitled to the following rest period: 1 rest period of 10 minutes to be taken at a mutually agreeable time during the period of work (not within the hour immediately after commencing or before ceasing work).

MEAL BREAK AND REST PERIOD. Employees will be allowed one (1) thirty (30) minute meal period. The meal period shall occur at the same time as the people we support have their meals. Each employee is required to be with the people we support during this paid meal period and to provide supervision for the people we support as may be required. Where the meal is prepared with the client at the client’s residence, the Employer shall pay for the employee’s meal.
