Overtime and Calls Clause Samples

The "Overtime and Calls" clause defines the rules and compensation for employees who work beyond their regular scheduled hours or are required to be on call. Typically, this clause outlines when overtime pay is triggered, the applicable rates for extra hours, and the conditions under which employees must be available outside normal working hours. For example, it may specify that overtime is paid at a higher rate after 40 hours per week, or that employees receive additional compensation for being on call during weekends. The core function of this clause is to ensure fair compensation for extra work and to set clear expectations for both employers and employees regarding extended or irregular work hours.
