Overtime Application. All charter work including chartered sightseeing tours shall be paid at straight time rates and the overtime provisions of the agreement shall not apply to such work, with the exception of work performed on a statutory holiday. Overtime Application. (a) An employee will not be regularly scheduled to work in excess of Eight (8) hours in any one day or Forty 40) hours in any one week except in cases beyond the control of the Company or because of breakdown or emergency. (b) An employee on the regular Monday-Friday working schedule who is required to work on Saturday or Sunday on an overtime basis shall be so notified, where possible, on the previous Thursday prior to his normal quitting time. (c) If the supervision determines that overtime will be for one hour or less, an employee will be expected to work right through without a break. (d) When it is estimated that the overtime will involve Two (2) hours or more beyond the end of the regular shift, an employee at their request will be provided a one-half hour unpaid lunch. Time cards must be punched out and in for this period whether or not an employee leaves the plant. (e) In cases of major breakdowns or other emergency situations, it may not always be possible to allow an employee a supper period at a specified time. Supervision will be governed by the circumstances and arrange a supper period, when necessary and if possible, as close to regular eating time as feasible.
