Power System Restoration. Effective procedures for restoration of the network require coordination and communication at all levels of the Parties’ organizations and with their membership. During power system restoration, the Parties will coordinate their actions with each other, as well as with other appropriate entities in order to restore the transmission system as safely and efficiently as possible. In order to enhance the effectiveness of actual restoration operations among the Parties, the Parties will exchange their respective restoration plan and coordinate as required by NERC and Regional Reliability Standards.

In order to enhance restoration operations between the Parties, both Parties will conduct annual coordinated restoration drills. These drills will stress cooperation and communication so that both Parties are positioned to better assist the other in a real restoration

  • Outage Restoration If an outage on the Attachment Facilities or System Upgrade Facilities or System Deliverability Upgrades of the Connecting Transmission Owner or Developer adversely affects the other Party’s operations or facilities, the Party that owns the facility that is out of service shall use Reasonable Efforts to promptly restore such facility(ies) to a normal operating condition consistent with the nature of the outage. The Party that owns the facility that is out of service shall provide the other Party and NYISO, to the extent such information is known, information on the nature of the Emergency State, an estimated time of restoration, and any corrective actions required. Initial verbal notice shall be followed up as soon as practicable with written notice explaining the nature of the outage.

  • Power System Stabilizers The Developer shall procure, install, maintain and operate Power System Stabilizers in accordance with the requirements identified in the Interconnection Studies conducted for Developer’s Large Generating Facility. NYISO and Connecting Transmission Owner reserve the right to reasonably establish minimum acceptable settings for any installed Power System Stabilizers, subject to the design and operating limitations of the Large Generating Facility. If the Large Generating Facility’s Power System Stabilizers are removed from service or not capable of automatic operation, the Developer shall immediately notify the Connecting Transmission Owner and NYISO. The requirements of this paragraph shall not apply to wind generators.

  • System Upgrade Facilities Transmission Owner shall design, procure, construct, install, and own the System Upgrade Facilities described in Appendix A hereto. The responsibility of the Developer for costs related to System Upgrade Facilities shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of Attachment S to the NYISO OATT.

  • System Upgrade Facilities and System Deliverability Upgrades Connecting Transmission Owner shall design, procure, construct, install, and own the System Upgrade Facilities and System Deliverability Upgrades described in Appendix A hereto. The responsibility of the Developer for costs related to System Upgrade Facilities and System Deliverability Upgrades shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of Attachment S to the ISO OATT.

  • Interconnection Facilities Engineering Procurement and Construction Interconnection Facilities, Network Upgrades, and Distribution Upgrades shall be studied, designed, and constructed pursuant to Good Utility Practice. Such studies, design and construction shall be based on the assumed accuracy and completeness of all technical information received by the Participating TO and the CAISO from the Interconnection Customer associated with interconnecting the Large Generating Facility.
