Seasonal Work Clause Samples
Seasonal Work the kind of work which, as a result of climatic or natural circumstances, cannot be carried out for more than nine months per year (see Appendix 3 for an overview).
Seasonal Work. Regular contractual nine (9) month employees who desire employment during the summer months shall have the first chance to bid on seasonal work with rate of pay to be that scheduled for the type of part-time work being done.
Seasonal Work. Opportunities for seasonal work shall be posted at least seven (7) calendar days before filling the position. Any employee may apply.
Seasonal Work. 31.01 Annually in May, the Superintendent will distribute through their school mailboxes to all classified staff a form on which the staff member can express interest in performing seasonal work outside of his/her regular contract year. To be eligible for seasonal work, the form must be submitted to the Superintendent by the last day of the school year. Whenever a position becomes available for seasonal work during the fiscal year, all interested bargaining unit members will be notified based upon their preferences as indicated on this form. Seasonal work is defined as a short term position designed to fill a temporary need. Seasonal workers shall meet all minimum skill levels for the desired position.
Seasonal Work. The PURCHASER must perform all seasonal weather clean-up, removal of bank slough, minor slides and fallen timber, brush road, replace material eroded from slopes, and clean out drainage ditches and culverts at the beginning of each operating season. In removing material from slides or other sources, the PURCHASER must deposit the material in a location where it will not erode into streams, lakes or reservoirs. Cut slopes, slumps, or other areas of exposed soil that are at risk for producing sedimentation of surface waters must be grass seeded or otherwise stabilized to reduce sediment transport.
Seasonal Work. Seasonal work will be posted and awarded to the most qualified person applying for the vacancy. The determination of an employee's qualifications to do the work shall be at the administration's sole discretion and the administration's decision shall be binding on the union and the employee and not subject to the grievance procedure. Seasonal work shall be defined to be:
1. Cleaning interior of buses 2. Route timing 3. Start up crew 4. Seat repair 5. Assistant mechanic work 6. Summer Bus Routes
Seasonal Work. Summer or seasonal work opportunities will be posted. Bargaining unit employees will be offered summer or other seasonal work opportunities before anyone outside the bargaining unit is offered such work.
Seasonal Work. The Union acknowledges that the Employer’s operations are seasonal, and there is no expectation of year-round work for the employees.
Seasonal Work to work on a seasonal basis to meet seasonal needs; Prior to hiring new temporary employees to perform seasonal work, the provisions of clause 23.01(a)(i) (Superior Duties) or Article 29 (Layoff and Recall) shall apply. If work continues to be available after these provisions are fulfilled, the position(s) will be posted on a bargaining unit wide basis. The City shall have the ability to advertise externally in conjunction with the internal posting process with the understanding that qualified Local 416 in- ternal applicant(s) shall have first claim to the work.
Seasonal Work. Regular employees employed in seasonal work positions in their same job title will be paid according to their regular pay ranges and on their correct step.
