Section 5.9. 39 At all times District facilities are used, an appropriate classified employee may be on duty and 40 compensated at the appropriate rate. The High School food service area may not be used without such 41 an employee on duty. In the event that any school facility is not returned to a reasonable state of order 42 and/or cleanliness following a non-school activity, the District shall compensate, in accordance with this 43 Article, the appropriate employee for all hours of work required to return the facility to a reasonable 44 state of order and/or cleanliness.
Section 5.9. A regular employee whose work day is increased or scheduled to be increased by 24 thirty (30) minutes or more each day for greater than thirty (30) work days will have his/her FTE 25 adjusted for purposes of sick leave accumulation and holiday pay to reflect such increase.
Section 5.9. Section 5.9 of the Credit Agreement is hereby amended by (i) deleting “and” at the end of Section 5.9(h), (ii) replacing the period at the end of Section 5.9(i) with a “and;” and (iii) adding new Sections 5.9(j) as follows:

Section 5.9. 24 All nutrition services employees will work on the weekday immediately preceding the first day of school 25 and if that occurs prior to Labor Day, the employees will be paid for the holiday consistent with Section 26 6.1.1. 28 If the District elects to serve lunch on the last day of the student instructional year, all impacted Nutrition 29 Services employees will be allocated up to three (3) additional hours (on time sheets) to complete end-of- 30 year cleaning. 32 Section 5.10. 33 Those employees working less than eight (8) hours per day shall receive a minimum of two (2) 34 hours pay for call back times their base hourly rate, including travel time for hours under eight (8) 35 hours per day or forty (40) hours per week. Hours over eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours 36 per week shall be paid as stated in Section 5.3. 37 38 S ection 5.11. Extra Hours for Paraeducators. 39 Prior to the first student day, paraeducators shall be authorized to work three (3) hours at times set by the 40 building administrator to attend staff meetings/ prepare for the upcoming school year. This work shall be 41 optional and if occurring before Labor Day, shall not make the employee eligible for holiday pay. 42 43 Newly hired paraeducators within the district who will be working in the Support Center, EBD 44 classrooms or 1:1 with a student with known behaviors, will be given two (2) hours to complete Safe 45 Schools – Special Education online classes during their first week in the classrooms. 47 During the course of the school year, each paraeducator will be provided with the option of working up to 48 four (4) additional hours to attend building functions (i.e., open house, library night, PRAD, etc.), 49 building meetings and building/Agreement training. This time should be arranged in conjunction with the 1 employees’ supervisors and must be documented on a form provided by the District in order to receive 2 payment. It is the paraeducator’s responsibility to ensure that he/she works the time so as not to incur any 3 overtime liability. These four (4) hours are not available to LPNs/Health Techs, who receive the 4 additional time set forth in Section 5.12, below. 6 In addition to this time, subject to availability of resources, the District may add partial or full days to the 7 work calendar of employees to facilitate joint training with teachers. Notice of such a change will be 8 communicated to the employee by June 30 for days scheduled the following school year....
