The 'Span of Ordinary Hours' clause defines the specific time periods during which employees are expected to perform their regular work duties. Span of Ordinary Hours. 4.1.1.1 Ordinary hours of work may be worked at any time of the day or night.

Span of Ordinary Hours is the period during the day when employees may work and may record and accrue credit for time worked.
Span of Ordinary Hours. (a) The ordinary span of work hours for an Employee is between:
(i) 0700 (7.00am) to 2100 (9.00pm) hours Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays; and
(ii) 0900 (9.00am) to 1300 (1.00pm) hours Saturdays, excluding public holidays.
(b) Employees will be entitled to penalty rates in accordance with clause 23 of this Agreement if they work outside the ordinary span of work hours.
Span of Ordinary Hours. The span of ordinary hours shall be from Monday to Friday to be worked between the hours of 6.00am to 6.00pm.

24.3.2 For Employees engaged in positions within the Camping and Accommodation Staff Grades Classifications, the span of ordinary hours shall be between: 7.00am and 7.00pm Mondays to Fridays.
24.3.3 In special circumstances, including but not limited to a heat wave or community event, which require the YMCA Workplace to remain open for an extended period of time (which may be until the time of opening on the following day), the span of ordinary hours of work will be extended to match the extended opening period. This clause only applies to YMCA Workplaces managed or operated by the Employer under contract with Local Government and will not be relied upon by a YMCA Workplace more than once each calendar year.
Span of Ordinary Hours. 11.2.1 The span of ordinary hours is from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
11.2.2 However, the Employer may request that an Employee work ordinary hours on one Evening per week, Monday to Friday, without a penalty loading applying to that work. An Employee may refuse the request on reasonable grounds including, but not limited to, where an Employee has primary carer responsibilities.
Span of Ordinary Hours. 28.1 Subject to clause 28.4 and 28.5, the ordinary hours of work will be worked within the Span of Hours.
28.2 The Span of Hours will be:
(a) A period of 12 hours per day, between 6am – 8pm Monday to Friday, as set by the Employer on an Institute-wide basis; and
(b) 9am – 5pm Saturday.
28.3 Prior to setting the commencement time of the Span of Hours applying Monday – Friday, the Employer will consult with the Consultative Committee. Any change to the commencement time will be implemented with the provision of at least 6 months’ notice.
28.4 An Employee who has special circumstances such as caring for family member(s) may request that the Employer allow the Employee to commence or finish duties at times of the day that are suitable to the special circumstances. The Employer will not unreasonably refuse such a request. Any changes to the commencement or finishing times of an Employee will be recorded in writing and a copy provided to the Employee and held by the Employer, and will not attract overtime except where the change incorporates a period the Employer requires the Employee to work outside of the Span of Hours.
28.5 Where an Employee performs Teaching Delivery outside the Span of Hours as part of their Roster Period, that Teaching Delivery will be ordinary hours of work and will accrue paid leave, superannuation and an allocation of ▇▇▇▇▇ hours under clause 32.4(b). Teaching Delivery performed outside the Span of Hours as part of an Employee's Roster Period will be paid at the rates set out in clause 29.6.
28.6 For each Teaching Delivery hour performed on a Saturday, the Employee will be paid at the ordinary rate of pay, plus a loading of 25% (except that the loading is not payable where overtime rates apply).
