HOURS OF WORK AND. Employees are expected to attend work regularly. When un- able to attend, the Owner, or designate must be notified, as soon as it is reasonably possible prior to the commencement of the scheduled shift of the employee, giving the reason why the employee is unable to attend, when he expects to return to work and how the Owner or designate can call him relative to his absence. The basic work week for full-time employees will consist of forty (40) hours per week, made up of five (5) days of eight (8) consecutive hours duration. Employees designated as Night Crew will receive a premium of seventy-five (75) cents per hour. Night Crew will be scheduled between and a.m. For clarity, a Night Crew employee’s en- tire shift will fall between these hours. 3) on a Night Crew which operates less than nights per week It is understood that an employee so temporarily appointed shall be entitled to the premiums outlined in this article and Appendix Article and in addition shall receive a fur- ther seventy-five (75) cents per hour as a premium for leading the night crew. This appointment and (75) cent per hour premium will be applied on a weekly basis only. Any full time or part time employee who works beyond shall be paid a seventy-five (75) cent per hour premium for all hours worked from onward. 13.01 D) 7KH ZRUN ZHHN LV GH¿QHG DV commencing at the beginning of Monday’s #1 Shift and consists of seven (7) consecutive days ending at the conclusion of Sunday’s #3 Shift. The regular hours of work shall be forty (40) per week which VKDOO QRUPDOO\ FRQVLVW RI ¿YH (5) eight (8) hour shifts in accordance with the regularly assigned shift schedules. Shift schedules affecting three (3) shift seven (7) day mining operations shall provide an average of forty (40) hours per week over a four (4) week cycle. Employees on such a schedule are not eligible for overtime pay on the sixth (6th) regularly scheduled shift in any work week.
HOURS OF WORK AND. The standard work week shall be and a hours, and the standard work day shall be seven and a half hours. The Company does not guarantee to provide work for any employee for normally assigned hours or for any other hours. The Company will pay for hours worked except where otherwise stated in the Agreement. The Company attempt to provide reasonable notice whenever possible, of a change to existing hours of work. Authorized work performed, in excess of the standard work day or the standard work week, shall be paid at the premium rate of time and one-half the employee's regular straight time rate of pay or, with the agreement of the Company, time may be taken off from regular work hours at a mutually agreed time. The normally assigned hours of work shall be seven and one half hours scheduled between and with one hour unpaid lunch break. Time and one-half the straight time rate shall be paidfor work performed on Saturday and double the straight time rate shall be paid for work performed on Sunday. An employee who is required to work a minimum of two hours' overtime continuous with his regular shift shall be paid a meal allowance. An additional meal allowance will be paid to such employee in the event he is required to work a minimum of seven hours' overtime continuous with his regular shift. The Company will schedule for each employee, a break period of ten minutes during the middle ofthe first half and a second break period of ten minutes during the middle of the second half of each regular shift. An employee called in to perform emergency work not continuous with his regular work period nor previously scheduled by the Company, shall be paid a minimum of four hours' pay at time and one-half his regular straight time rate. It is understoodthat, except in cases of emergency, overtime will be distributed as equally as is reasonable amongst those employees who are qualified and normally perform the work. The Company will approach such employees on a voluntary basis but, in the event that sufficient volunteers are not available, the Company shall detail the qualifiedjunior employees to perform the required overtime work. If no qualified employee is available, the supervisor perform the work. An employee who declines overtimewill be charged with the number ofhours of work that were offered to him for purposes of overtime distribution. The Company will keep track of and post a list of overtime hours worked on a quarterly basis.

46. Forty (40) hours shall constitute a week’s work. The day’s starting time and the number of hours to be worked for each individual employee shall be at the discrection of the Contractor. The Union will consider and review a special starting time on projects where job conditions are beyond the control of the Employer. Any change in the starting or quitting time or adjustment of the work day shall be by mutual agreement between the Employer and the Local Union.
(a) Where project owners establish specifications or requirements that limit the days or hours in which work may be performed, or for safety reasons, the employer, after advance notice to the union, may start the workweek after 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at straight time rates. In applying the schedule, Sunday, p.m. will be considered Monday, the following Friday will be considered Saturday, (paid at time and one-half) and Saturday will be considered Sunday (paid at double time). All premium pay provisions will apply for the sixth and seventh days as to Saturday and Sunday respectively. This schedule shall be applied by the week.
47. When a Contractor is commencing a two (2) shift or three (3) shift operation, he shall notify the International Union Representative and/or the Local Union representative, and they may request a meeting to discuss the new shift arrangement.
