The Regular Work Hours clause defines the standard days and times during which an employee is expected to perform their job duties. Typically, it specifies the start and end times for each workday, the total number of hours per week, and may outline expectations for breaks or overtime eligibility. By clearly establishing when work is to be performed, this clause helps prevent misunderstandings about scheduling and ensures both employer and employee have a shared understanding of work commitments.
Regular Work Hours. For the purposes of the collective agreement, an employee’s regular work day or regular work week will be the employee’s scheduled hours of work under the job- sharing arrangement. A day on which an employee is not scheduled to work will be considered as the employee’s rest day. Time worked by an employee outside his/her scheduled hours of work will be compensated as overtime in accordance with Article 16 of the Agreement, with the employee’s bi-weekly rate being determined on the basis as if he/she were working the normal full-time hours.
Regular Work Hours. The regular workday for employees shall be eight (8) hours and shall be determined from midnight of one day until midnight of the next day. The normal workweek for employees shall be forty (40) hours, consisting of five consecutive workdays followed by two (2) days off. Those hours worked in excess of forty (40) in any workweek will be governed by the overtime section of this agreement.
Regular Work Hours. Work hours will fall between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; however, exceptions outside those hours may be allowed if approved by both the Office Administrator and the immediate supervisor. Permission will not be unreasonably denied. Job-related travel may cause exceptions to these work hours.

Regular Work Hours. An employee who is assigned to perform work associated with a permit shall be paid his/her regular rate for those hours of the permit s/he works that fall within the employee’s regularly scheduled work day.

Regular Work Hours. The University acknowledges as a general principle that, unless mutually agreed to by the employee and their supervisor and documented in writing, work obligations should be met primarily during regular work hours (typically 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, weekdays), which may vary by position. The Union acknowledges some work obligations will fall outside of these hours, including such responsibilities as evening or weekend classes, conferences, meetings where participants are in substantially different time zones, and laboratory responsibilities that must be attended to on nights, early mornings, and weekends.
Regular Work Hours. Each employee's supervisor shall set their regular hours in September of each year, and the employee must work in accordance with these regular hours. Any flexing of a schedule within one work week must be pre-approved by the employee’s supervisor and the District Business Official. No employee shall be paid for overtime unless the employee’s supervisor and the District Business Official has given prior written approval for such overtime, or, in the case of an emergency, the supervisor, the Superintendent or his designee gives prior approval immediately before the overtime hours worked. All time cards must accurately reflect actual time worked. Time cards with marks over the punched clock time will not be recognized as accurate time cards, and must be approved by the employee’s supervisor and the Business Official prior to processing the pay. No employee shall punch in or out for another employee. Nothing in this section is intended to violate the Fair Labor Standards Act’s overtime provisions.
