SCHEDULING WORK. The utility's feeders are removed from service for normal work on closely restricted schedules. If the Contractor requires an outage of the utility feeder or needs to have the service de-energized for routine work, it shall notify the utility in advance. The Contractor will be notified by the utility if the date and time are satisfactory and, if not; an alternate date will be suggested. The schedule will be modified only by mutual agreement of the interested parties except that, in an emergency, the utility may cancel the scheduled outage and the Contractor shall be so notified.

Such employee is expected to report to work within a reason- able time after receiving the call and accepting the work. However, if such late call to work is the result of another employee’s inability to perform his work, pay in such instance will commence when the em- ployee reports to the Employer’s premises and clocks in. 20.03 Any employee who is called to work after his regular starting time because of another employee’s inability to perform his work shall receive a minimum of six (6) hours work or if six (6) hours work is not furnished, a minimum of six (6) hours pay at the straight time rate. 20.04 The night shift is a regular work shift, the majority of the working hours falling between 3:30 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Night shift premium of ten cents ($.10) per hour shall be added to the regular straight time rates for employees who are required to perform night shift work. It is not to apply to watchmen and janitors. 20.05 When delivery area vacancies are scheduled for a week or more, utility drivers shall bid, in seniority order, those vacated ar- eas that are not being used as training routes, on a week by week basis. Once a utility driver is awarded a weekly vacancy bid, in accordance with their seniority, they shall not be removed from that weekly vacancy bid, except when the regular bid driver returns to work during the week. SCHEDULING WORK. When the Agency requires employees to work on specific days and times that vary from day-to-day or week-to-week, the Agency will provide written schedules at least 14 calendar days in advance. Management-directed changes to the work schedule will be communicated at least 72 hours in advance. Changes required to accommodate employee leave schedules may be communicated less than 72 hours in advance. When an employee is not available for their scheduled day or time, the employee must provide timely advance notice, if possible, and it is the Agency’s responsibility to find a replacement. Nothing in this Section prohibits employees from finding their own replacement.

A paid holiday shall be consid- ered a day worked. 18.07 No overtime shall be paid unless the work performed is at the request of or on the order of the Employer. 18.08 Whenever two (2) or more overtime or premium rates are applicable to the same hour or hours worked, there shall be no pyramiding or adding together of such rates and only the higher of the applicable rates shall apply.

Upon Authority’s approval of the Construction Documents, the Design Builder shall issue and updated Contract Schedule. SCHEDULING WORK. 15.4.1 The Employer shall notify all affected employeesof any schedule change, including a change from an eight (8) hour day work week to 4/10 hour week, or vice versa, by the posting of a notice on or before noon on Thursday of the week preceding the scheduling change. This notice shall specify: (a) the work are involved (e.g., maintenance, evisceration, cut-up, packaging, and/or shipping and receiving), (b) the number of employees required for each work area, and (c) the scheduled work days and hours. 15.4.2 Prior to 5:00 p.m. on the date of posting a schedule change notice, employees shall have the right to sign up to perform any work specified on the notice on the basis of seniority, provided that employees shall be permitted only to sign up for work in the area or classification regularly employed. For example, if Employer schedules eighty (80) cut-up employeesfor a Tuesday through Friday work week, only employees who regularly work in the cut-up area will be permitted to sign up for that work. The Employer shall be entitled to designate employees to fill any work schedule for which an insufficient number of volunteers have signed up, on the basis of inverse seniority and shall post the work schedule for the following week by the start of work the day following the initial posting of the schedule notice. 15.4.3 Employer shall schedule work during any 4/10 hour week to provide a minimum of two (2) consecutive days off; however, Employer shall not be required to schedule work on four (4) consecutive days. The daily schedule of hours shall be subject to reasonable changes necessitated by circumstances not known to Employer at the time of posting the notice provided that employees shall be advised as to their next reporting time if different from the current day before completion of their last scheduled work day.
