Step 3 (Filing a Grievance). Within ten (10) working days of receipt of the decision under Step 2, or if no decision is forthcoming, the grievance may be submitted to the Vice- ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, Faculty Affairs, or their designate. Within ten (10) working days of receipt of the Step 3 grievance, the parties will meet to discuss the grievance at a time and place suitable to them. In addition to the Assistant concerned, up to three (3) representatives of the local Union, for example, the appropriate Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, Local ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and Staff Representative from the Union, shall have the right to be present at such meeting. The Vice-▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, Faculty Affairs, or their designate, may invite to the meeting such other persons (for example, the appropriate Academic Chair, ▇▇▇▇, and/or Senior Director) that they consider advisable, to a maximum of five (5). The Vice-▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, Faculty Affairs or their designate, shall deliver a decision within ten (10) working days from the date of the Step 3 grievance meeting. If the decision of the Vice-▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, Faculty Affairs or their designate, is not satisfactory to the Union, or if no decision is forthcoming, the complaint which was the subject of the grievance shall be referred to arbitration within ten (10) working days of receipt of the decision, as outlined in paragraph 9.08 below.

  • Filing a Grievance Grievances may be filed by the Union on behalf of an employee or on behalf of a group of employees. If the Union does so, it will set forth the name of the employee or the names of the group of employees.

  • Statement of Grievance The grievance shall contain a statement of: 1. Specific situation, act or acts complained of as violation of this Agreement, or written rules, regulations or policies; 2. The damage suffered by the employee; and 3. The relief sought.

  • Filing a Complaint If an employee believes that they have been harassed and/or discriminated against on the basis of any prohibited ground of discrimination, there are specific actions that may be taken to put a stop to it. First, request a stop of the unwanted behaviour. Inform the individual that is doing the harassing or the discriminating against you that the behaviour is unwanted and unwelcome. It is advisable to document the events, complete with times, dates, location, witnesses and details. However, it is also understood that some victims of discrimination or harassment are reluctant to confront their harasser or they may fear reprisals from the harasser, lack of support from their work group, or disbelief by their supervisor or others. The incident should be brought to the attention of your Supervisor and/or Committeeperson.

  • Group Grievance Where a number of employees have identical grievances and each employee would be entitled to grieve separately they may present a group grievance in writing signed by each employee who is grieving to the Administrator or her designate within ten (10) days after the circumstances giving rise to the grievance have occurred or ought reasonably to have come to the attention of the employee(s). The grievance shall then be treated as being initiated at Step No. 1 and the applicable provisions of this Article shall then apply with respect to the processing of such grievance.

  • Adjustment of Grievance The School Board and the employee will attempt to adjust all grievances which may arise during the course of employment of any employee within the School District in the following manner:
