The STORAGE AND PROTECTION clause sets out the requirements for how materials, goods, or information must be stored and safeguarded during the course of a contract. C. For exterior storage of fabricated products, place on sloped supports above ground. Cover products subject to deterioration with impervious sheet covering; provide ventilation to avoid condensation.
D. Arrange storage to provide access for inspection. Periodically inspect to assure that products are undamaged, and are maintained under required conditions.
E. No extended storage of materials will be permitted on site. Delivery of materials shall be scheduled in a manner that will limit “on site time” to 30 days or less before installation.

D. Stored mechanical and push-on joint gaskets shall be placed in a cool location out of direct sunlight. Gaskets shall not come in contact with petroleum products. Gaskets shall be used on a first-in, first-out basis.
E. Mechanical joint bolts shall be handled and stored in such a manner that will ensure proper use with respect to types and sizes.
