STUDENT ADVISEMENT. 1. During the fiscal year (September 1, 2014 - August 31, 2015) the College may, at its discretion, employ faculty to assist department chairs with general student course advisement including course selection advisement and/or in association with the student course selection, scheduling and/or registration process. Faculty wishing to be considered for employment as student advisors shall so inform their department chairs in writing on forms provided by the College for this purpose. 2. Employment as a student advisor shall be upon the recommendation of the appropriate department chair and approved by the division ▇▇▇▇. Such employment shall be on a semester-by-semester basis and non-reappointment shall not be subject to review under the grievance machinery of the Agreement. 3. Faculty employed on a part-time basis as student advisors for 2014/2015 shall be compensated at a rate of $39.71 per hour with payment based on approved timesheets submitted. 4. All services rendered as a student advisor shall be in addition to the availability requirement stipulated in Article VII, Section K hereof. 5. Effective September 1, 2015 Student Advisement is no longer a function of this agreement.
STUDENT ADVISEMENT. The ▇▇▇▇ shall approve the times for Faculty to assist with student advisement. During the Academic Year, Faculty members shall be available for advisement during the registration periods specified in writing by the Administration.
STUDENT ADVISEMENT. Undergraduate Courses and Projects: (1) Projects. Advising about undergraduate independent study projects, whether or not undertaken by the student for academic credit, is wholly voluntary on the part of the Faculty member and shall not be count- ed for the purpose of calculating a full-time Faculty member's Primary Faculty Teaching As- signment; (2) Courses. Teaching an undergraduate course which is described in the current course catalog as an independent study course, undertaken by the student for academic credit, is wholly voluntary on the part of the Faculty member and shall not be counted for the purpose of calculating a Faculty member's Primary Faculty Teaching Assignment, as long as no more than five students are involved. If more than five students register to take the course as inde- pendent study then, with the agreement of the appropriate ▇▇▇▇, a full course must be sched- uled and the teacher credit hours count towards a full-time Faculty member's Primary Faculty Teaching Assignments.
STUDENT ADVISEMENT. An appropriate faculty or staff member at UMSL shall be assigned and responsible to advise students regarding their academic preparation for admission to LCC and for their ultimate goal of chiropractic licensure. This advisement shall include attention to special requirements for licensure in some states, such as completion of the baccalaureate degree prior to matriculation in a chiropractic college.
STUDENT ADVISEMENT. The SDSU program liaison is responsible for advising students regarding their academic preparation for admission to ISU while in attendance at SDSU; paying particular attention to the special requirements and needs of the MS in Nuclear Science and Engineering at ISU. Similarly the ISU liaison will be responsible for facilitating the advisement of students during their first year at ISU to ensure that the necessary transferrable courses are completed.
STUDENT ADVISEMENT. Academic advisors from Moorpark College’s Transfer/Counseling Center shall be responsible for advising students regarding their academic preparation for admission to the AJU and for their ultimate goal of matriculation at the AJU. Care will be taken to make students aware of the requirements and the agreement regarding transfer of credits.

  • Video Surveillance Video surveillance has become a valuable resource for the protection of the Employer’s assets and assuring the safety of its employees. This type of surveillance has proven to be a major deterrent to criminals and we will never know how many thefts and robberies have been prevented. Unfortunately, it is sometimes our own employees who are observed committing criminal acts in our stores. Within the confines of the law, the Employer may use video cameras in almost any part of the store. The vast majority of employees have no need to be concerned and may be assured that common sense and discretion will prevail in choosing who is allowed access to any monitoring equipment or video tapes.

  • STUDENT SAFETY The Parties agree that when a Student attending a College facility expresses to any College employee a suicidal intention or a threat of physical harm to others, a protocol to be agreed prior to the effective date of this MOU will be executed. The protocol will prioritize ensuring that the Student does not pose a threat to self or others. The College will prioritize transitioning management of the issue to School District, the parent / guardian of the student or the most appropriate authority or entity to address the crisis at hand. Often the College Police Department will assess the situation and coordinate that transition with its School District counterpart. School District designates College as its agent under any applicable statutory authority or parent / guardian consent to treatment for the limited purpose of this crisis-response intervention. When on the College campus, Students will follow the policies and procedures of the College to ensure the safety and well-being of the fellow classmates, faculty, staff and visitors. The Colleges will develop standard protocols for various emergency situations. To ensure safety precautions, the College enrolls all students, faculty and staff, including Students in Dual Credit programs, into emergency alert messages. These messages are sent to all groups mentioned via the College email, robocalls and text messages to the telephones listed in the system of record. Alamo Colleges District is subject to legislation requiring it to allow licensees to carry concealed handguns on its campuses effective August 1, 2017, and Students will potentially encounter license holders availing themselves of this privilege. Any notice of these facts to parents of Students will be the responsibility of the School District. Students traveling for College events will be required to sign an Alamo Colleges District General Participation Release as a condition of participation as is required of all students from each of the Colleges of the Alamo Colleges District.

  • Special Education Teachers Elementary/Secondary Special Education Coordinators shall be compensated for an extended work day in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000).
