STUDENT EVALUATIONS OF TEACHING. (a) A primary purpose of any teaching evaluation is that of self-development and improvement. (b) Teaching effectiveness may be evaluated by student questionnaires, so long as such evaluations are in accord with the regulations below and with other provisions of this Collective Agreement. (c) Student Teaching Evaluations will be supervised by individual Faculties and all originals will be returned to the instructor and only summaries which conform to the provisions of this Article may be used for any other purpose.
STUDENT EVALUATIONS OF TEACHING. (a) Evaluations administered to assess a Faculty Member's teaching performance shall be in accordance with the requirements below, those of Senate, and with other provisions of this Agreement; (b) Student evaluations intended for the University's assessment of Members shall be supervised by individual Colleges. All original evaluations shall be sealed and retained by the ▇▇▇▇ and shall be available to the Member. Aggregated numerical data from student evaluations shall be placed in the Member's OPF; (c) Student evaluation of teaching shall be obtained through the questionnaire administered by the University in such a way as to afford all the students in a given course or class a reasonable chance to respond. Such questionnaires shall be constructed so as to obtain a fair and reasonable assessment of teaching effectiveness, within the limitations of current knowledge, and shall seek an assessment of all and only; (i) clarity of course objectives and extent to which they are met; (ii) understanding of and competence in imparting course material; (iii) course organization; (iv) use and value of written or other out-of-class material; (v) objectivity and promptness in grading, commenting on and returning assignments; (vi) availability and cooperativeness of the Member; and (vii) effectiveness in supporting student learning (d) All questions shall conform to the requirements of Article 2 (Academic Freedom) and Article 7 (Non-Discrimination); (e) All questions on a student evaluation questionnaire that provide numeric data shall be constructed so that the answers may be aggregated by simple statistical procedures; (f) Up to twenty (20) minutes of scheduled class time, in the last two (2) weeks of a course, or of a Member's involvement in a course where such involvement is less than a full term or academic year shall be used for filling out questionnaires. Evaluations for courses may be done electronically, online, subject to the provisions of Article 21B.

In gauging teaching effectiveness, however, SETs are not to be used as the sole criterion of teaching for disciplinary measures, promotion, tenure or reappointment, or for non- reappointment with respect to full-time members of the bargaining unit and adjunct faculty who have been employed by the University for at least five (5) semesters over a five (5) calendar year period, including summer sessions (which collectively count as one semester each calendar year). Nothing contained in this Article shall be interpreted to suggest there is any expectation of continued employment at the expiration of a contract.
STUDENT EVALUATIONS OF TEACHING. The CBA states that student evaluations of teaching “may be stored in electronic format and incorporated by extension into the Personnel Action File provided that individuals involved in evaluations and personnel recommendations or decisions are provided secure access for these purposes.” ▪ Student Opinion Questionnaire (SOQ) instructor reports dating back to the Fall 2008 semester are stored in the Faculty Student Success Dashboard (FSSD). The FSSD is accessible through Titan Online in the Faculty Portal. CSUF’s University Policy Statements 210.000 and 210.070 require faculty undergoing periodic evaluations or performance reviews to submit statistical summaries of grade distributions for each class taught in the period of review. ▪ Graded Class Lists are stored in the FSSD accessible through Titan Online in the Faculty Portal.

STUDENT EVALUATIONS OF TEACHING. It is the Department Coordinator's responsibility to ensure that part-time faculty are evaluated by students once a quarter for each class taught. The Coordinator may select any student evaluation form which has been approved for the Tenured Faculty Evaluation process. If a new form is to be used, the process for approval will be the same as for student evaluation forms as described in section 308. The Department Coordinator, or their designee will review student evaluations for the first three quarters, and then at least annually after that. The results of the student evaluations will be made available to the faculty member, the Department Coordinator, the appropriate ▇▇▇▇ and, upon request, to the Division Chair, and the CAO.

  • Student Evaluations Student evaluations shall be completed by the end of the 12th week of the fall semester.

  • Student Evaluation a. The President of the College or the President’s designee shall be responsible for administering the student evaluation process. b. Student evaluation packets for each class containing instruments and instructions shall be distributed to each faculty member by the first week of December during the fall semester and by the last week in April during the spring semester. c. It is expressly agreed that the faculty member being evaluated shall not be present in the classroom when the student evaluation is being administered and that all instruction to students with regard to such student evaluation shall be included in writing on the instrument, provided further that the designated unit or non-unit professional shall return the student evaluation directly to the President of the College or the President’s designee. The administering of the student evaluation shall be the responsibility of the President of the College or the President’s designee who shall determine who among unit or non-unit professionals shall administer such student evaluation. Student evaluations shall be valid only if signed by the student; provided, however, that faculty members shall not be entitled to the identity of the student responding unless such student evaluation is used as a basis for dismissal or other disciplinary action and such will be communicated to the students. d. The data from the student evaluation shall be tabulated and copies sent to the President of the College or the President’s designee. The raw data shall be retained by the College for a period of one (1) year during which time the faculty member shall have access thereto upon written request. e. The President of the College or the President’s designee shall review the tabulated data and shall forward a data summary to the faculty member by January 23 for the fall semester and by June 15 for the spring semester. f. The faculty member shall have seven (7) working days in which to respond to such data.

  • Annual Evaluations The purpose of the annual evaluation is to assess and communicate the nature and extent of an employee's performance of assigned duties consistent with the criteria specified below in this Policy. Except for those employees who have received notice of non-reappointment pursuant to the BOT- UFF Policy on Non- reappointment, every employee shall be evaluated at least once annually. Personnel decisions shall take such annual evaluations into account, provided that such decisions need not be based solely on written faculty performance evaluations.

  • Conditions of Eft Services (a.) Ownership of Card(s). Any Card we supply to you is our property and must be returned to us, or to any person whom we authorize to act as our agent, or to any person who is authorized to honor the Card, immediately according to instructions. The Card may be reclaimed at any time at our sole discretion without demand or notice. You cannot transfer your Card to another person.

  • TECHNICAL EVALUATION (a) Detailed technical evaluation shall be carried out by Purchase Committee pursuant to conditions in the tender document to determine the substantial responsiveness of each tender. For this clause, the substantially responsive bid is one that conforms to all the eligibility and terms and condition of the tender without any material deviation. The Institute’s determination of bid’s responsiveness is to be based on the contents of the bid itself without recourse to extrinsic evidence. The Institute shall evaluate the technical bids also to determine whether they are complete, whether required sureties have been furnished, whether the documents have been properly signed and whether the bids are in order. (b) The technical evaluation committee may call the responsive bidders for discussion or presentation to facilitate and assess their understanding of the scope of work and its execution. However, the committee shall have sole discretion to call for discussion / presentation. (c) Financial bids of only those bidders who qualify the technical criteria will be opened provided all other requirements are fulfilled. (d) AIIMS Jodhpur shall have right to accept or reject any or all tenders without assigning any reasons thereof.
