Substantive Changes Clause Samples
The Substantive Changes clause defines how significant modifications to an agreement or its terms are to be handled. Typically, this clause requires that any major alterations—such as changes to key obligations, pricing, or deliverables—must be agreed upon in writing by all parties before they become effective. By establishing a clear process for approving and documenting important amendments, the clause ensures that all parties are aware of and consent to material changes, thereby preventing misunderstandings and disputes over unauthorized or informal modifications.
