Temporary Job Assignments. 1. When temporary job assignments become available, the following will apply: a. A sign-up sheet requesting that employees sign up as candidates will be posted for five (5) working days. The sign-up sheet will explain the nature and duration of the assignment. A copy of the sheet will be sent to the Union at the time of posting. b. Temporary job assignments will not exceed one hundred twenty (120) calendar days. Assignment extensions may be required for certain projects. Temporary assignments exceeding one hundred twenty (120) calendar days must be approved by the Union. c. Seniority and technical qualifications will be considered for temporary job assignment selection. d. If no one signs the sheet, the employer will choose the employee(s) with the least seniority that is qualified to be assigned. 2. Temporary job assignments of less than forty-five (45) calendar days will not be subject to the requirements of subparagraphs a., b., and c.; however, seniority will be considered.
