Training Attendance. The District service providers’ training is typically scheduled for up to 2 hours. All providers are encouraged to attend the training session.
Training Attendance. When an employee is assigned to training for a day, his/her normal shift shall be considered an eight (8) to ten (10) hour training period. If the employee is engaged in training activity for all but one hour of their regularly assigned work shift he/she shall not be required to perform additional work for the City on that date, except in the case of an emergency.

Training Attendance. Assigned training, whether on-shift or off-shift shall be considered a work assignment and attendance is considered mandatory. Employees who are unable to report for their scheduled training shall have the personal responsibility to notify their manager (or their manager’s designated representative for this purpose) of such absence as soon as possible but in no event later than one (1) hour before the start of their scheduled training. All employees shall be at their assigned training location, ready for training at their scheduled training start time and shall remain until all portions of the training are completed.
Training Attendance a) Non-academic course credit is based on scheduled hours of instruction.
b) An employee must generally attend the entire course to receive credit for completion. The training instructor can make exceptions on a case by case basis.
c) Pre-determined credit hours for a completed course are given even if the actual instruction time is less than scheduled.
d) If an employee only attends part of a course and cannot be granted full credit per instructor decision, the status for attendance is marked “incomplete” in HRmis.
e) If an employee does not show for a class and did not cancel at least 5 days prior, the status for attendance is marked “No Show” in HRmis. Each agency shall establish a Schedule of Records for information required to be maintained by the agency and in accordance with regulations promulgated by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).
Training Attendance. It is the policy of the Pensacola Police Department that its employees be properly trained. Training should be a continuous process throughout the career of individual employees, and should develop specialized skills and knowledge within the framework of a police generalist. Training attendance shall be within the framework of department procedures.
