Academic Program Administration. University will be responsible for coordination and administration of the Students’ academic experience. University shall have full authority to determine the requirements for each Student’s matriculation and participation in their program, and for decisions regarding grading, awarding of academic credit, and the awarding of credentials and degrees.

Program Curriculum and Administration. University shall design and deliver to District the curriculum for the student’s program, including development of Student learning objectives, evaluation criteria, reporting requirements, orientation plan, and identification of appropriate learning activities during placement at District. University shall also assure the quality of the placement, and modify it as needed to reflect evaluative input received from District.
Academic Program Administration a. The Joint Program is comprised of post-secondary college level health science courses and clinical exposure which shall provide a foundation for entry into the Licensed Practical Nursing health career. Students enrolled in (Name of School) may earn a maximum of thirty-one Rutgers credits for college level courses in the curriculum. The Dynamics of Health Care in Society course is a required component of the Joint Program. Other course options include but are not limited to: Anatomy and Physiology I and II, Medical Terminology, Emergency and Clinical Care, Scientific Principles of Nutrition, Medical Mathematics, Fundamentals of Health and Wellness, Writing for the Health Professional and Introduction to Clinical Research.
b. (Name of School) shall offer at least two college level courses, which shall include but not be limited to Dynamics of Health Care in Society.
c. (Name of School) shall be solely responsible for all aspects of the students’ clinical experiences including, but not limited to, the provision, direction, supervision, control, teaching, evaluation, transportation and any other arrangements for the clinical experiences.
d. Rutgers shall designate a Program Coordinator for the Health Science Careers Program – Licensed Practical Nursing Program (hereinafter the “Program Coordinator”) who shall have direct responsibility for the administration of the Program, with the cooperation of (Name of School), its administration, teachers and staff. (Name of School) shall have the sole responsibility for administration and provision of all aspects of clinical rotations and other aspect of the program experiences. The Program Coordinator shall be employed by and report to Rutgers and act as a liaison between the parties.
e. The parties may agree in writing to include other appropriate institutions as part of the mission to provide educational experiences to the students in the Joint Program.
f. Matters pertaining to the policies and procedures for the Joint Program shall be submitted to the appropriate councils, committees or administrators at (Name of School) and Rutgers, and to any Partner Institution.
g. The curriculum for the Joint Program in (Name of School) shall be mutually agreed upon by the parties and Partner Institutions. All courses must be approved in advance by the Rutgers Committee on Curriculum and Course Review or its designee.
