Assignment Differential Pay (ADP) Clause Samples

The Assignment Differential Pay (ADP) clause establishes additional compensation for employees assigned to specific roles, locations, or duties that warrant higher pay than their standard salary. Typically, this clause outlines the criteria for eligibility, the amount or percentage of differential pay, and the duration or conditions under which it applies—for example, employees temporarily assigned to remote or hazardous locations may receive ADP. Its core function is to ensure fair and transparent compensation for employees undertaking assignments that involve extra responsibilities, risks, or inconveniences, thereby incentivizing acceptance of such assignments and addressing potential inequities.
