Basis for Selection. Apprenticeship positions will be filled on the basis of the skill, ability and qualifications of the applicants. Where these factors are relatively equal, the Employer will select the most senior applicant. Vacancies in all other positions shall be filled through appointment on the basis of greatest seniority, required qualifications and efficiency demonstrated in the applicant’s current or previous position(s) with the Employer. Efficiency demonstrated shall be as documented in the employee’s file. An employee shall be deemed as demonstrating satisfactory performance if there is no documentation to indicate otherwise. If there is not a qualified internal applicant, the Employer will consider, on the same basis as outlined above, the applications of employees who are close to possessing the required qualifications before considering any external candidate. If an appointment is made of an applicant who does not possess the required qualification(s) of the position, the Employer may, as a condition of appointment, require that the applicant obtain the qualification(s) within a specific time limit.

Basis for Selection. 1. Reduction-in-Force Units and Procedures for Assignment.
a. Reduction-in-Force units shall be identical to the academic disciplines in Article IV, Section C. Each Tenured and Probationary Faculty Member shall be assigned to only one (1) of these units based upon the Faculty Member’s major assignment.
b. The Contract Administration Committee will develop and recommend a Reduction-in-Force list to the President annually. This list will be distributed to Full-time Faculty Members prior to the conclusion of fall quarter. The list shall rank each Faculty Member in the appropriate unit in accordance with the seniority procedures defined herein and shall designate whether the individual is a Probationary or Tenured Faculty Member.
c. Full-time Faculty Members who hold special funded positions and Non- Faculty Members who hold Tenure under the laws of the State of Washington shall be included in the above lists for informational purposes only.

Basis for Selection. The Maryland Department of Health has vetted and determined Ready Responders to have the knowledge, expertise and capability perform these services and the ability to start services on Monday, April 20th. Ready Responders is currently working with Baltimore City, and this will allow MDH to coordinate with Baltimore City and the in-home provider (Ready Responders) directly to increase efficiency and effectiveness in providing services to the identified areas.
