The "Beginning of School Year" clause defines the official start date of the academic year for the purposes of the agreement. This clause typically specifies a calendar date or references a schedule published by the educational institution, ensuring all parties are aligned on when contractual obligations commence. By clearly establishing the start of the school year, it helps prevent misunderstandings regarding timelines for deliverables, payments, or services tied to the academic calendar.
Beginning of School Year. (1) A seniority list shall be posted on the Transportation bulletin board at least 5 days prior to the initial driver safety meeting. (2) At the same time, a list of all routes and shuttle runs shall be posted. Such posting shall describe the route or shuttle run in detail as to length of run, hours involved and other working condition information. (3) On the safety meeting day, initial minor adjustments in routes and shuttle runs will be resolved in informal discussions with the drivers and the Transportation Supervisor. If there is a disagreement, which is not resolved, the Transportation Supervisor will make the final determination. On that day, once these adjustments have been made, the routes and runs shall be posted. Each driver shall sign for his/her selection in seniority order. No more than five (5) minutes shall be allowed for each driver to make his/her selection.

Open bus aides’ routes will be bid according to the following procedure: 2. All open routes will be reviewed and posted in the transportation employees’ lounges concurrent with the bus driver bid but at least 1 week prior to the bid. 3. Every reasonable effort will be made to maintain bus assignments from year to year to designated parking compounds consistent with the assignment as posted and bid upon by the bus aide through the bidding process.

  • School Calendar The Dual Credit course schedule will be determined by the location of the course delivery, provided that the required contact hours and prerequisites are met. The instructional calendar for the high school portion of the School will be based on the School District calendar and comply with all related TEA regulations for school attendance. The School District will adjust its schedule as necessary to enable Students to enroll in and attend the college- level courses provided by College. The School District and College will coordinate the State Student assessment requirements to ensure said assessments are administered without penalty. The School District, School and College will ensure that the School calendar accounts for the required per-semester contact hours for courses. When the instructional delivery is on the College site, it may be necessary for Students to attend classes on days when the School District is closed (e.g., different holiday closures). When Students take classes at the College scheduled on days when School is closed, the School District will ensure that at least one staff member with administrative authority be on call and available to be reached by the College’s Office of High School Programs or other College staff in case of emergency. The designated School staff member will have access to Student emergency contact information. While the College agrees to make scheduling accommodations for required State assessments, including the STAAR and End of Course Exams, all contact hour requirements must be met. For assessments not mandated by the State, the College and School District will come to a mutual agreement on administration dates in order to appropriately manage disruptions of college courses and ensure contact hour requirements are met.
