The "Call Back Defined" clause establishes the specific circumstances under which a party, typically an employer or service provider, may require an individual to return to work or a job site after having left or completed their scheduled duties. This clause outlines what constitutes a valid call back, such as responding to emergencies, addressing urgent operational needs, or fulfilling unforeseen obligations outside regular working hours. Call Back Defined. After completing his/her normal work shift and leaving the workstation, an employee who responds to an authorized order to return to work to perform emergency or non-scheduled work shall be entitled to overtime. The minimum number of overtime hours to which the employee is entitled shall be two (2) hours at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2). Commuting time up to a maximum of one (1) hour shall be counted as time worked when the employee is called back.

Call Back Defined. Call back is defined as an employee being requested to perform work for the CITY outside of their regularly scheduled shift hours, excluding any pre-scheduled overtime. Call backs include, but are not limited to, responding to a duty station, responding to an off-site location, remote trouble shooting, and/or telephonic consultations.
Call Back Defined. ‌ “Callback Pay” is defined as compensation earned for returning to duty after an employee has completed his/her regular shift and is requested to return to duty with less than 12 hours’ notice to respond, except for any employee who is: (1) called into work while on standby status, (2) not required to leave the premises where he/she is residing or located at the time of notification in order to respond, or (3) called back to work if the employee’s work begins one (1) hour or less before or after his/her scheduled work shift.
