Caulking Sample Clauses

The Caulking clause outlines the requirements and responsibilities for sealing joints and gaps in construction projects to prevent water, air, or pest infiltration. It typically specifies the types of materials to be used, the locations where caulking is necessary—such as around windows, doors, and plumbing penetrations—and the standards for workmanship. By clearly defining these expectations, the clause ensures that the building envelope is properly sealed, thereby enhancing energy efficiency, durability, and occupant comfort while reducing the risk of future maintenance issues.
