The Class of Service clause defines the specific level or category of service that will be provided under the agreement. It typically outlines the features, quality standards, or performance metrics associated with each class, such as bandwidth limits, response times, or support tiers. By clearly specifying the service class, this clause ensures both parties have a mutual understanding of what is being delivered, reducing the risk of disputes over service expectations.
Class of Service. Class of Service. The E-Line EVC class of service (“CoS”) delivery methodology is based on 802.1q IEEE standards and follows the Internet Engineering Task Force (“IETF”) Differentiated Services (“Diff- Serv”) model (i.e. IETF RFC 2474). The Verizon traffic priority classes are identified as:
Class of Service. Class of Service provides the quality assurance needed for the delivery of differentiated services such as voice, priority data, security or other services. For traffic control and flow there is one master tunnel (VLAN) per Service Provider with multiple “quality tunnels” sitting within the master tunnel. Service Providers have full control over which services have priority on the network. All traffic carried on the NBI network will be assigned to one of two Class of Service (CoS) queues as set out below: • Expedited Forwarding (EF) • Best Effort (BE) If purchased, the Service Provider can dynamically map their End User traffic to these categories as desired. This provides a Service Provider with the ability to manage and prioritise their upstream and downstream traffic. Upstream and downstream traffic should be marked using 802.1p markings which is mapped into the above queues. The EF and BE traffic permitted for each product profile is set out below in Table B:

Class of Service. Each MPLS Network Solutions service will be subject to Seller’s Class of Service (“CoS”) parameters to prioritize traffic in the event of congestion over a given port. The CoS designation will be based on DSCP bits in the IP header of each packet. The specified CoS of a packet will determine the service level that applies to the service in this Supplement. If for any reason the packet has an undefined designation, a Bronze designation will be assigned by Seller.
Class of Service. The Class of Service (CoS) feature enables Client to prioritize traffic among four classes: real-time, high- grade data, medium-grade data, and low-grade data. Each CoS has a specific amount of bandwidth allocation so that all classes can transmit data during congestion. However, if any class does not use its entire bandwidth allocation, packets of other classes can share the unused bandwidth. Client may select from a number of "profiles" that have predetermined bandwidth allocations for each CoS.The CoS feature is required when IP Flex is used with MIS Services. Some restrictions apply with the MIS Access Redundancy Options.
Class of Service. Verizon provides classes of service (CoS) that allows Customer to select either a single CoS or multiple CoS on an EVC for prioritized handling of various types of data. Basic, priority and real time CoS are provided as standard features of EVCs identified as E-Line (formerly SES) on the relevant Order. Basic, business and priority CoS are provided as standard features of Ethernet Line Service. Business CoS is not available with EVCs identified as E-Line (formerly SES) on the relevant Order.
Class of Service. The “Class of Service” categories shall be defined as follows. Class A Supplier Provided Fiber – dual entrance Class B Supplier Provided Fiber – w/lateral or single entrance Class C non- Supplier Provided Fiber facilities – w/lateral or single entrance Chronic Trouble. Chronic Trouble exists when either: (i) three (3) or more separate periods of service interruption occur within the same calendar month; or
Class of Service. Each E-LAN service will be subject to Seller's Class of Service ("CoS") parameters to prioritize traffic in the event of congestion over a given port. Supplier will support PCP fields for purposes of selecting Seller's CoS designation. The following translations tables will apply: PCP ADS COS Based on this designation as set forth on the respective Service Order form, each frame will be assigned a Gold, Silver, or Bronze CoS. The specified CoS of a frame will determine the service level that applies to the service in Section 4 of this Supplement. If for any reason a CoS designation is not made at the time of order or if the frame has an undefined designation, a default designation may be assigned by Seller. For Buyer's locations which are served in whole or in part using Third Party Facilities, CoS may not be supported and all traffic originating from that location will be marked by a default designation assigned by Seller.
