Element Description. The NID is a cross-connect device used to connect loop facilities to inside wiring. The NID is available as a part of an unbundled local loop, or as a stand-alone unbundled network element. When a NID is ordered as part of an unbundled local loop, the price for the NID is incorporated into the loop UNE price. The normal process for loop ordering will include the NID. When the NID is ordered as a stand-alone rate element, it must be ordered separately from a loop, and it incurs a separate UNE charge. The price for a stand-alone NID is listed in Appendix D. To access a stand-alone NID CD must put in place a NID-to-NID connection, as described in the next section.

Element Description. Student Population The SLO should clearly identify of the number of students addressed and include all students taught by a teacher. Learning Content The SLO should link to the specific standard(s) for the grade and content area. What is being taught? Will the goal apply to all standards or specific priority standards? Evidence The SLO should identify how progress toward the goal will be measured. What specific assessment(s) will be used? Interval of Time The SLO should specify the instructional period, which may vary depending on the teaching assignment (year, semester, etc.). Baseline The SLO should identify students’ current understanding of the standards to be measured by the goal. Based on assessment data, what level of learning are students demonstrating at the beginning of the instructional period? Target(s) The SLO should identify the expected student growth during the interval of instruction. The target may apply to all students or differentiated targets reflective of groups of students’ baseline knowledge may be established. Rationale The SLO should describe the reasoning used to determine learning content, evidence and target determinations. How do the content, evidence and targets selected support student progress and future growth? Developing SLOs promotes reflective teaching practice by embedding best practices into a formal, common, collaborative and transparent process. Educators, or teams of educators, review standards, identify core concepts and student needs, analyze baseline data to establish student goals, monitor student progress and, at the end of the process, examine and reflect on outcomes. Evaluators support the work by guiding and approving SLOs, providing structured feedback, and scoring the final results. Though SLO development formalizes effective teaching practice, performing the important work of incorporating data and assessment into instructional practice does require time and attention. As the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ School District implements SLOs and strengthen the process over time, consideration will be given to ensuring educators are provided the necessary planning or collaboration time.
