EMT Certification Clause Samples
EMT Certification. The County agrees to provide Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training to employees in specified classifications in the Patrol Officer's Unit if the County determines that EMT certification is necessary for the employee(s) in that classification(s) to perform his assigned duties. Nothing in this Section should be construed to mean that the County is obligated to require such certification, and the County retains the right to determine the procedures under which such training, if required, will be conducted. In addition, any benefits which may be granted under this Section are limited to only those employees employed in classifications in the Patrol Officer's Unit at the time of the County's determination, if any, that such training is required.
EMT Certification. All employees hired on or after January 1, 1986, who are required to have a Firefighter certificate, shall be required to maintain State of Florida EMT certification in accordance with State of Florida requirements.
EMT Certification. 1a. The City and the Union agree that all bargaining unit members, up to and including the rank of Captain, shall become EMT certified. All courses will be offered on duty. Any member required to attend any portion of the courses off duty, shall be paid at a rate of one and one-half (1 ½) times their rate of pay.
EMT Certification. All uniformed employees excluding Emergency Vehicle Technician/Certified and the civilian Fire Inspector must possess and maintain at all times the SD Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification as a minimum qualification for employment with the City in those classifications. For all eligible employees covered by this Agreement who are required to possess EMT certification by this Article, the City shall pay for or provide the required training.
EMT Certification. 17.1 It shall be a requirement of employment to acquire and maintain a Washington State EMT-B certification.
17.2 The employer will provide the training necessary to maintain EMT-B certification.
17.3 No employee shall be terminated due to a temporary loss of their EMT-B certification.
EMT Certification. All members who are not State of California Certified and Marin County Accredited Paramedics must possess and maintain a valid EMT Certification from the State of California and the County of Marin always as a condition of employment. If the member fails to maintain certification, the member will be placed on unpaid Administrative Leave (or allowed to use any accrued vacation and/or emergency leave) until such time they can regain their EMT certification for a period not to exceed six (6) months. If the certification has not been regained after six (6), the Authority reserves the right to administratively disqualify and release the member from employment in conformance with the Firefighters Bill of Rights.
EMT Certification. Emergency Medical Technician (“EMT”) certification is a mandatory condition of employment for Battalion Chiefs. The Department will provide all necessary training and testing relating to the recertification process at no cost to employees. If an employee does not successfully complete the EMT re-certification process provided by the Department, the employee will have six (6) months to meet recertification requirements or be subject to termination for failure to meet position standards. The expenses, in such cases, will be the responsibility of the employee. The six (6) month grace period, if requested, may be extended due to course availability but, employees must enroll and participate in the first available course.
EMT Certification. The City and the Union recognize the need to have highly trained employees to operate the City’s rescue equipment and to respond to medical emergencies. To this end, the City and the Union agree as follows: Emergency Medical Technician-B (EMT-B) certification shall be the mandatory minimum level of certification required for all positions in the bargaining unit.
(a) The employee shall be responsible for continuing to maintain the required level of EMT certification as a condition of continued employment.
(b) The City will pay expenses associated with mandatory EMT recertifications and other mandatory certifications. Such expenses may include transportation and travel costs, application and test fees, registration fees, etc. The City will decide how many employees will be involved at any one time due to budgeting and staffing requirements.
(c) Except as otherwise provided in this Agreement, certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s), shall be compensated as follows: EMT ‘B’ 1.6% of top Firefighter pay EMT ‘I’ 3.0% of top Firefighter pay EMT ‘P’ 7.25% of top Firefighter pay All the above amounts shall be incorporated into the base wage schedule set forth in Appendix
EMT Certification. Unit members who are:
a. assigned to the public safety department (however entitled); or,
b. primarily assigned within a residence hall; or,
c. hold a title commonly known as “Athletic Trainer”; and, who are EMT certified will receive a yearly stipend in the amount of eight hundred and fifty dollars ($850.00). This stipend will be payable on the last payroll period in January subsequent to presentation of a valid certificate.
EMT Certification. The parties stipulate that the Township's current policy is that any police officer with EMT certification will not be assigned to an ambulance or other emergency medical vehicle (other than a police car) to perform EMT duty. (However, a police officer can be assigned to perform police duty on such vehicles.) If that policy changes in the future to require police officers with EMT certification to be assigned to an ambulance or other emergency medical vehicle (other than a police car) to perform EMT duty, the Township agrees to add $500 to the annual base pay of all Police Officers with EMT certification.
