Extended Assignment Clause Samples
The Extended Assignment clause allows for the continuation of an employee's or contractor's assignment beyond its original end date. Typically, this clause outlines the process for extending the assignment, such as requiring mutual agreement in writing and specifying any changes to terms like compensation or responsibilities. Its core function is to provide a clear and structured method for prolonging work arrangements, thereby preventing misunderstandings and ensuring both parties are aligned on the terms of the extension.
Extended Assignment. For the purpose of consecutive days in an assignment pursuant to Article B.2.6, non- employment on a non-instructional day shall not be considered to break continuity.
Extended Assignment. Teachers assigned an extra period of instruction beyond the normal class assignment as defined in Article VII, Duty Pay, shall receive compensation prorated on their basic rate of pay as determined by this agreement. This includes, but is not limited to an extra class period, (High School) and Alternative School Instruction (high school learning center).
Extended Assignment. Those teaching assignments that shall extend beyond the approved school calendar shall be compensated at a rate that shall reflect that teacher’s position on the salary schedule pro-rated at 1/9th of the salary for a full month’s duty. Less than a full month’s duty shall be compensated at 1/36th of the scheduled salary for each week of duty performed.
Extended Assignment. The daily rate shown on the schedule above for extended assignment will be effective beyond fifteen (15) consecutive days of service. Upon meeting this ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇, the extended assignment rate will be retroactive to the first day of the assignment, at each level. The extended assignment substitute will work the regu lar teacher’s seven hour day of instructional time.
Extended Assignment. By mutual agreement between the employee and the District, employees may accept assignments to teach above and beyond the normal teacher assigned day for extra compensation at his/her hourly rate for the additional assigned period. The District may not unilaterally assign a teacher additional classes, and the teacher shall not be entitled to a continuation of such an extended assignment from academic term to academic term. The parties agree that an individual may not be assigned more than one additional class in any given term. When the District and an employee agree to such an extended assignment, the teacher shall be compensated at his/her hourly rate for the additional assigned period. On mutual agreement of the District and the employee, the teacher may be scheduled to leave early, but such arrangement shall not excuse the teacher from attending scheduled staff meetings.
Extended Assignment. All extended assignments requiring duty days beyond the basic contract year must be pre-approved by the supervising administrator. The paid hourly rate shall be 1/8 of 1/193 times the basic contract salary for 2019-20 through August 28, 2020. For 2020-21, the hourly rate shall be 1/8 of 1/193 times the basic contract salary through August 24, 2021. This provision shall not include programs under Community Education or given a Development rate.
Extended Assignment. 35.5.1 Where an Employee is requested to work or undertake training away from their usual place of employment and that request would require the Employee to stay away from home for longer than four (4) weeks, the Employee may decline the request unless they are guaranteed to be returned home no less frequently than each four (4) weeks at Company expense.
35.5.2 Subject to prior approval, an equivalent amount of the travel costs (fares only) reasonably incurred for return travel will be reimbursed to the Employee for the purposes of family/partner reunion, where it is deemed impractical for the Employee to return home themselves. In all cases, travel reimbursement will only be made where such arrangement is approved in advance of the travel concerned, and where the Employee submits genuine travel receipts and/or satisfactory evidence verifying the travel costs incurred.
Extended Assignment. 9.1 The Transfer Fee will not be payable if the Conduct Regulations apply, and the Client gives written notice to Roc that it intends to continue the hire of the Consultant for a further period of twelve months (Extended Assignment) before it Engages the Consultant other than through Roc. If the Client fails to inform Roc of the Extended Assignment before it Engages the Consultant, the Transfer Fee will be payable.
9.2 Where the Client decides (in accordance with clause 9.1) to have the Consultant supplied by Roc for the Extended Assignment: the Consultancy Fees payable by the Client during the Extended Assignment shall be those applicable immediately before Roc received the Client's notice of election; at the end of the Extended Assignment, the Client may Engage the Consultant without paying the Transfer Fee; and if the Client chooses an Extended Assignment, but Engages the Consultant before the end of the Extended Assignment, the Transfer Fee remains payable without any discount.
Extended Assignment. By mutual agreement between the employee and the District, employees may accept assignments to teach a “zero period” (prior to the start of the regular school day) or during their preparation period. The District may not unilaterally assign a teacher to teach during a zero period or during his/her prep period, and the teacher shall not be entitled to a continuation of such an extended assignment from academic term to academic term. The parties agree that an individual may not be assigned both a zero period and a teaching period in lieu of preparation time. When the District and an employee agree to such an extended assignment, the teacher shall be compensated at his/her hourly rate for the additional assigned period. On mutual agreement of the District and the employee, the teacher may be scheduled to leave early, but such arrangement shall not excuse the teacher from attending scheduled staff meetings.
3. On days preceding holidays and vacations, the licensed staff shall be able to leave when the last bus leaves all schools
4. Licensed staff is required to attend certain building and District meetings. Licensed staff shall be given prior day written notice if those meetings are expected to last 15 minutes past contract time. Staff meetings which last beyond the school day will not result in working more than a total of one hour beyond the work day per month. Each building may also schedule in-service time up to forty-five minutes per month beyond the work day in addition to staff meetings. The Administration will develop in-services with input from building staff representatives. The administration will consult with the staff in developing the in-services. Note: the limitation on time spent at general staff meetings beyond the regular day is not intended to include other committee meetings or team meetings not called by the administration that are necessary and may occur outside the regular work day.
Extended Assignment. (a) A teacher with an extended employment assignment will be paid for additional work at his/her basic salary rate (before supplemental) – the amount dependent upon the length of the assignment.
(b) The amount is computed by dividing the number of contract days (187) into the amount of the teacher’s basic salary rate to determine the dollar figure per day – this figure is multiplied by the number of days worked during the extended employment assignment to arrive at the salary for extended employment.
(c) Concurrent/Dual Enrollment educators will be provided a $500 annual stipend per course.
(d) Driver’s Education will be not considered an extended employment assignment and will be paid at $25 $30 per hour.
(e) Summer School teaching position will be paid at the certified teacher’s hourly rate.
