Hour Day Clause Samples
The "Hour Day" clause defines how a workday is measured in terms of hours for the purposes of the agreement. Typically, it specifies the number of hours that constitute a standard workday, such as eight hours, and may clarify whether partial days are prorated or how overtime is calculated. This clause ensures both parties have a clear understanding of what counts as a full day of work, which is essential for accurate billing, scheduling, and compliance with labor regulations.
Hour Day. The parties agree that the Chief may implement a 10-hour schedule that would modify the regular work day from an 8-hour day to a 10-hour day. If implemented, the parties will enter into a Letter of Understanding to address necessary contract modifications to account for a 10-hour day.
Hour Day. The agreements on administration of the 10-hour work schedule are:
(1) Acting Pay. Assignments of less than 1 full scheduled work week, each day acting to be paid at the prescribed rate.
Hour Day. Employees may voluntarily agree to work an eight (8) hour day. No employee shall be disciplined or discriminated against because he/she wishes to work only a seven (7) hour day.
Hour Day. The workday may consist of twelve (12) hours' work to be completed within twelve and one-half (12 112) consecutive hours.
Hour Day. All daily course assignments for a Faculty Member must occur within ten (10) consecutive hours, unless otherwise approved by the affected Faculty Member. However, every effort shall be made to schedule all daily course assignments within an eight (8) hour period of time whenever it is practicable to do so.

Hour Day.
