Full-Time Unit Members Clause Samples
The 'Full-Time Unit Members' clause defines which employees are considered full-time members within a particular bargaining unit or organization. Typically, this clause outlines the criteria for full-time status, such as minimum weekly hours or specific job classifications, and may specify the rights, benefits, or obligations that apply exclusively to these members. By clearly distinguishing full-time unit members from part-time or temporary staff, the clause ensures that eligibility for certain benefits, protections, or union representation is unambiguous, thereby preventing disputes and promoting fair treatment.
Full-Time Unit Members. Full-time unit members who are employed nine (9) or more consecutive calendar months in the school year shall be entitled to these benefits for the entire year, with the premium cost paid by the District.
Full-Time Unit Members. For the purpose of this article only, full-time unit members are defined as those unit members working thirty (30) or more hours per week. Unit members working less than twenty (20) hours per week shall be eligible to participate in District sponsored fringe benefits with full cost paid by the employee. Exceptions to this provision shall be in accordance with COBRA and other appropriate Federal mandates.
Full-Time Unit Members. The District shall pay the cost of medical, dental and vision premiums as outlined immediately below for those bargaining unit members working full time. In addition, the District shall pay the full cost of basic life insurance, long term health care insurance and long term disability insurance. Effective January 1, 2021 the District’s monthly contribution to medical benefits per enrolled full-time unit member shall be:
Full-Time Unit Members. 1.1.1 A full-time ten (10) month certificated unit member who must be absent himself/herself from his/her duties because of illness or injury is entitled to ten (10) days leave per year. Unit members whose contractual assignment is for more than ten (10) months shall be granted sick leave on the same basis—one (1) day per service month.
Full-Time Unit Members a. The duties for all full-time Faculty may include but are not limited to: classes taught at both on and off-campus locations; student hours; preparing lectures or grading student assignments and/or tests; coaching, counseling, or library services; approved conferences and field trips; consultation with other Faculty, the administration, and community members; interacting with students as a mentor, club advisor, or event advisor; maintaining subject matter currency through reading professional literature, participating in a professional association, presenting at a workshop, completing a sabbatical or fellowship project, attending work-related classes, workshops or conferences; participating in curriculum development by revising course outlines, developing new courses, or working with four year colleges and K- 12 Districts to facilitate articulation; participating in institutional projects; participating on college committees, Faculty Senate committees participating in peer review through service on peer or tenure evaluation committees, or evaluation of part-time Faculty; participating on hiring committees; or mentoring new Faculty.
b. In the event that the District requires full-time Faculty to work off campus, evenings, and/or weekends and there are no Faculty from the affected department interested in that assignment, when possible, such assignments shall be rotated among the program’s qualified full-time Faculty.
c. Full-time Faculty on reduced contracts shall be on campus and responsible for the duties specified above for periods of time prorated according to the portion of contract held.
Full-Time Unit Members. 1.1. A full-time unit member may be granted a leave without pay for not more than twenty (20) assigned duty days in any one-year period, subject to the discretion/approval of the Chancellor.
1.2. A full-time unit member may be granted leave without pay for any period of time up to one year upon recommendation of the Chancellor, and subject to the approval of the Board.
1.3. Unless otherwise indicated, leaves may be extended for up to two additional years upon approval of the Chancellor, and subject to the approval of the Board.
Full-Time Unit Members. 21.5.1.1 The District contribution for health benefits shall be $192 per year. In addition, the District shall provide for each unit member a supplement for fringe benefits equal to the cost of the insurance programs specified in 21.1, 21.2, 21.3, and
Full-Time Unit Members. Full-time unit members may voluntarily contribute from their accrued sick leave one (1) day per call for contributions.
1.1.1.1. If there is a call for contributions and a full-time unit member has no accrued sick leave to contribute at the time of the call, a current member subject to automatic renewal will be allowed to remain a member, and a new member will be allowed to respond affirmatively to the call for contributions. Thereafter, one (1) day of accrued sick leave shall be deducted from the account of said member as soon as they have accrued the required one (1) day, but in no event may such member apply for or receive an award from the VSLB until such time as the required one (1) day of sick leave is deducted from their accrued sick leave.
Full-Time Unit Members. Full-time unit members may 7 voluntarily contribute from their accrued sick leave one (1) 8 day per call for contributions.
10 1.1.1.1 If there is a call for contributions and a full-time unit 11 member has no accrued sick leave to contribute at 12 the time of the call, a current member subject to 13 automatic renewal will be allowed to remain a 14 member, and a new member will be allowed to 15 respond affirmatively to the call for contributions.
Full-Time Unit Members. 8.1.1.1 Full-time unit members employed five (5) days per week shall be entitled to eleven (11) days paid leave for each school year (10 months) for purposes of personal illness or injury. Unit members who work more or less than a full school year shall be entitled to the pro rata equivalent amount of personal illness or injury leave, e.g., a unit member who works six (6) school months is entitled to six (6) days leave and a unit member who works eleven (11) school months is entitled to eleven (11) days of leave.
