INTENT AND PURPOSE OF AGREEMENT. It is the intent and purpose of the Employer and the Association to set forth the agreed provisions covering salaries, hours of work and other working conditions, in order to promote and maintain mutually satisfactory relations between both parties and to achieve the highest level of worker performance and morale consistent with the good and optimum productivity of the Police Force. In furtherance of this purpose, the Employer and the Association both acknowledge and agree to honour and recognize the rights and obligations herein and discharge faithfully the duties and functions attributed to each other.

INTENT AND PURPOSE OF AGREEMENT. 1.01 The intent and purpose of this Agreement shall be to promote and improve industrial and economic relations between the parties and in the industry, to establish and maintain discipline and efficiency and to set forth herein the basic Agreement covering rates of pay, hours of work and conditions of employment which will render justice to all. The parties hereto desire to co-operate in establishing and maintaining proper and suitable conditions for the Employer in the industry, allowing for flexibility and productivity in the workplace, and to provide methods of fair, peaceful and expeditious resolution of workplace adjustments of all disputes which may arise between them, and to ▇▇▇▇▇▇ good will and friendly relations and better understanding between the parties.

These authorities include but are not limited to 23 U.S.C. 114, under which the Secretary has the right to conduct such inspections and take such corrective action as the Secretary determines to be appropriate. This Agreement carries out 23 U.S.C. 106(c)(3), which requires FHWA and the State DOT enter into an agreement relating to the extent to which the State DOT assumes project responsibilities pursuant to section 106(c). This Agreement also documents certain oversight activities that FHWA and the [State name DOT/STA abbreviation] will use to efficiently and effectively deliver the FAHP.

Maintain and improve coordination and communication between City and County. C. Develop consistent policies and procedures for managing urban growth and development within the Urban Reserve. D. Minimize impacts to property owners, local governments and service providers related to the transition of property from within the Urban Reserve to within the Urban Growth Boundary.
