Overtime Procedure. Employees will be offered overtime opportunities on a rotational basis. In order of classification seniority provided he/she is present in the plant at the time overtime is offered. However, the company will make an attempt to contact an otherwise eligible employee by telephone. a) Same crew β extended up to 4 hours or come in early up to 4 hours. b) Opposite crew c) Part Time use d) It is understood that employees on an individual basis have the option to bank overtime hours to a maximum of sixty (60) hours. At any time the employee has the option to take time off or to be paid out at a minimum four (4) hour block from the banked amount provided that twenty four hours of notice is provided to management. Time off must be approved by management and will not be unreasonably denied. Exceptional circumstances will be reviewed by management. Banked hours can be claimed no earlier than the following pay period. The Union agrees to use the appropriate number of Banked Hours for the time off requested. (4hours banked time for a four (4) hour pass: 8 hours banked time for a full day off). As a point of clarification the definition of banking overtime is: that an employee can only bank premium time of the overtime pay. (i.e. if an employee works eight (8) hours at time and one half, they can claim eight (8) hours at straight time and bank four (4) hours at straight time in the overtime bank).
