Plus Rating Clause Samples

The Plus Rating clause establishes a requirement for a party, typically an insurer or financial institution, to maintain a credit or performance rating above a specified minimum threshold, often denoted as a certain rating 'plus' (e.g., A+ or higher). In practice, this clause may stipulate that the party must provide evidence of its rating from a recognized rating agency and notify the other party if its rating falls below the agreed level. The core function of this clause is to ensure that only financially stable and reliable entities are involved in the agreement, thereby reducing the risk of default or non-performance.
