Posting of Positions. 14.5.1 Positions shall be posted for fifteen (15) days on the Library’s staff bulletin board and on the University web page. Copies of the posting shall be sent to Members of the Bargaining Unit in the Library and to the Association.
14.5.2 Notices of positions shall include: the Category of Appointment; the department within the Library; specific duties attached to the position; the qualifications for the appointment; the number of hours per week; the date of commencement of the appointment, and, if applicable, the date of termination; the deadline for the application; and the date of posting.
14.5.3 The deadline for applications shall be at least fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of posting.
14.5.4 Applications shall be sent to the University Librarian, who shall forward them to the Part-time Librarian Appointment Committee.

In this case, the position thus granted is not posted and the employee suffers no loss of salary as a result of the transfer.
5-2.01 When a position becomes permanently vacant, the Employer shall have a period of fifteen (15) days to decide to fill, to eliminate or to modify the position.
5-2.02 The Employer will post internally for five (5) working days, any newly created or definitely vacant position. An employee who is absent at the time of the posting shall be informed by telephone by the administrator responsible.

5-2.04 An employee wishing to apply for a posted position must do so in writing during the period of posting.
5-2.05 The Employer shall select the applicant having the greatest seniority among those who applied, on the condition that she possesses the required qualifications for the position posted, as defined in Appendix I. 5-2.06 Subject to the applicable regulations, on the date of ratification of the collective agreement, the employees will be deemed being qualified for their current position which they held prior to the ratification.

Openings which arise when school is not in session shall be sent to the President of the Unit (or his/her designee) for transmission to interested Unit employees. Paraprofessionals who perform paraprofessional work during the summer recess will be paid at their applicable rates of pay as provided in Attachment B to this Agreement. It is the contemplation of the parties that new unit hires (i.e. the hiring of employees who have not previously worked for the School District) will be at the lowest step of the applicable salary schedule commensurate with the candidate’s objective qualifications, skills and relevant experience. A vacancy which will entail the hiring of a continuous occasional teacher, which is known to exceed three (3) months duration, and which is known three (3) weeks in advance, shall be posted. The Board may, at its discretion, post vacancies that are less than three (3) months or known less than three (3) weeks.
