Removable media devices Clause Samples
The 'Removable media devices' clause governs the use, management, and security of portable storage devices such as USB drives, external hard drives, and memory cards within an organization or under a contract. It typically outlines requirements for authorization before connecting such devices to company systems, mandates encryption or other security measures, and may restrict the transfer of sensitive data to these devices. This clause is designed to minimize the risk of data breaches, malware infections, and unauthorized data transfers by controlling how removable media are used in the workplace.
Removable media devices. All electronic files that contain County PHI or PI data must be encrypted when stored on any removable media or portable device (i.e. USB thumb drives, floppies, CD/DVD, smartphones, backup tapes etc.). Encryption must be a FIPS 140-2 certified algorithm which is 128bit or higher, such as AES.
Removable media devices. All electronic files that contain DHCS PHI or PI data must be encrypted when stored on any removable media or portable device (i.e. USB thumb drives, floppies, CD/DVD, smartphones, backup tapes etc.). Encryption must be a FIPS 140-2 certified algorithm which is 128bit or higher, such as AES.
Removable media devices. All electronic files that contain CDPH PCI data must be encrypted when stored on any removable media or portable device (i.e. USB thumb drives, floppies, CD/DVD, smart devices tapes etc.). PCI must be encrypted using a FIPS 140-2 certified algorithm, such as Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), with a 128bit key or higher
Removable media devices. All electronic files that contain PHI COUNTY discloses to CONTRACTOR or CONTRACTOR creates, receives, maintains, or transmits on behalf of COUNTY must be encrypted when stored on any removable media or portable device (i.e. USB thumb drives, floppies, CD/DVD, Blackberry, backup tapes etc.). Encryption must be a FIPS 140-2 certified algorithm which is 128bit or higher, such as AES. Such PHI shall not be considered “removed from the premises” if it is only being transported from one of CONTRACTOR’s locations to another of CONTRACTOR’s locations.
Removable media devices. All electronic files that contain DBH PHI or PI data must be encrypted when stored on any removable media or portable device (i.
Removable media devices. Any and all electronic files that contain PSEI or PHI must be encrypted when stored on any removable media or portable device, including, without limitation, USB drives, CD, DVD, and backup tapes. Encryption must be a FIPS 140-2 certified algorithm which is 128bit or higher, such as AES.
Removable media devices. All electronic files that contain PHI data must be encrypted when stored on any removable media or portable device type device (i.e. USB thumb drives, floppies, CD/DVD, etc.) with a Covered Entity approved solution as specified in the paragraph (i) of this section.
Removable media devices. All electronic files that contain Protected Data must be encrypted when stored on any removable media or portable device (i.e., USB thumb drives, floppies, CD/DVD, Blackberry, back-up tapes, etc.). Must be encrypted using a FIPS 140-2 certified algorithm, such as AES, with a 128bit key or higher.
Removable media devices. All electronic files that contain DOM data must be encrypted when stored on any removable media or portable device (i.e., USB thumb drives, CDs/DVDs, Mobile Phones, backup tapes etc.). Encryption must be a FIPS 140-2 certified algorithm of 256 bit or higher, such as AES.
Removable media devices. All electronic files that contain the CDSS CSP must be encrypted when stored on any removable media or portable device (i.e. USB thumb drives, floppies, CD/DVD, smart phone, backup tapes etc.). Encryption must be a FIPS 140-2 certified algorithm which is 128 bit or higher, such as AES.
