REQUEST FOR REASSIGNMENT. An announcement containing information concerning current vacancies in the Recreation series and Child Care series shall be distributed on a weekly basis to Department of Recreation and Parks work locations where employees in these classifications are assigned and to the union. The announcement shall list the class title, pay grade, and work location of each vacancy, and the name and telephone number of the person to contact. Interviews will be scheduled for those eligible employees expressing a desire for reassignment. They will be considered together with eligibles reporting as a result of certification or pay grade advancement interviews. Supervisors shall give consideration to the City’s equal employment opportunity guidelines when making selections. Employees who have not completed probation or who have been reassigned at their own request within the last 12 months are not eligible to request reassignment. Reassignments must be approved by each division head affected. Whenever an employee is non-selected for a reassignment, Management will, upon the request of the employee, disclose the reasons for the non-selection, including the employee's performance on the selection interview. It is management’s intent to provide meaningful reassignment opportunities to employees through the provisions of this Article. However, this Article is not intended to prohibit management from reassigning personnel as necessary to meet Department needs in maintaining an appropriate level of service to the community or in emergencies.
REQUEST FOR REASSIGNMENT. The Department of Employment & Human Services shall continue the vacancy information system which lists vacant positions which the department has determined will be filled by intradepartmental reassignment. Positions shall be listed for five (5) working days in department offices prior to filling the position. Permanent full time employees ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ of reassignment to a position in the same classification at another work location should submit a request in writing to the Department of Employment & Human Services personnel office. Such request will stay in effect for ninety (90) days from the date it is submitted. When it is determined that a vacant position may be filled by intradepartmental transfer, the department will determine from which district the transfer may be made based upon the amount and nature of work, and the names of people from that/those district(s) in the appropriate classification who have indicated a desire to transfer to that location will be submitted to the supervisor who will make a selection. In the event three (3) names are not available through this process, then the gaining supervisor may request additional names from the reemployment/eligible list.

The Department will make a concerted effort to have supervisors included on the interview panel for vacancies associated with the supervisors’ respective work units. It is management’s intent to provide meaningful reassignment opportunities to employees through the provisions of this Article. Whenever possible, following review of survey forms, teachers being considered for reassignment will be given the opportunity to meet with the principal at the building where the vacancy exists. D. Area of competence, certification, quality of teaching performance, and length of service in the district shall be considered in determining selection of teachers to be reassigned. E. Any vacancy for the upcoming school year in a teaching position occurring on or before July 10, including vacancies which occurred mid-year or any supplemental vacancy, shall also be posted in writing in the building during the school year, in the paycheck and/or electronically during the summer for a period of at least seven
REQUEST FOR REASSIGNMENT. The Board recognizes that it is desirable in making assignments to consider the interests and aspirations of its teachers. Requests by a teacher to change his teaching assignment shall be made in writing, one (1) copy of which shall be filed with the Superintendent and one (1) copy shall be filed with the Association. The application shall set forth the reasons for the change.

The assignments to be consistent with Article 13 of the National Agreement. C. The Employer shall make every effort for carriers in their own stations for light duty assignments.
REQUEST FOR REASSIGNMENT. A teacher may request, in writing, a transfer to another position for the next school year. Such a request may be made at any time. However, to be given consideration for vacancies which may become available during the summer months a letter of interest for transfer must be in the superintendent's office prior to end of the previous year. Receipt of requests for reassignment will be acknowledged, in writing, by the superintendent and kept on file.

  • Request for Transfer Unless the paraeducator and both principals agree, no transfers shall be allowed during a period spanning from 14 calendar days before the first contract work day until after the 20th contract work day. A transfer will not be considered unless the paraeducator is qualified for such vacancy. All transfers shall be initiated by the receiving principal, with copies to the releasing principal or immediate supervisor and the Human Resource Services office. The principal, when making his/her decision, shall consider the following: seniority, educational qualifications, expertise and ability, prior job experience, performance evaluations, and recommendations of previous supervisors. The transfer of the paraeducator will be subject to Board approval.
